it was the first time...

ever since we exchanged numbers during that 'lunch date' in the cafeteria, you and i texted each other all night. it was a week of euphoria for me, and i genuinely prayed that this would last for long.

but i guess prayers aren't always answered.

scrolling through our conversation brought a small smile on my face, but i was still bothered as to why you hadn't replied to my message that time.

it was a short 'hi' and 'how was your day?', but i  still couldn't fathom why it has been an hour and you haven't even left me on seen.

the frown on my face was washed away when my phone beeped, thinking that would be a reply from you.

only that, it was actually just a message from taehyung.

that time, i was already frustrated with myself. what was i thinking, anyway? i knew there was no way a perfect girl like you would like someone like me.

my phone then rung. i was ready to decline the call since i thought it would only be taehyung bugging me in the middle of the night.

but i was surprised to see a different caller id.

it was the first time you called me.
