 Chapter 43

Today was the day that I was moving to London with Mimi, Harry and the rest of the lads. To say I was anxious was an understatement. It was about 10am in the morning and the shipping company had just picked up some of my boxes and furniture to ship to London. All I had to take with me was my suitcase and carry on. Niall and Harry were in the kitchen drinking tea that they picked up from Tim Horton’s and Niall was finishing a box of timbits that he had never had before but, was obviously enjoying them since he refused to give Harry one.

I was happy that our flight wasn’t until a little later tonight so, I didn’t have to rush plus Yazmine, Tye and her boyfriend Jake were coming by to say their goodbyes. I was dreading that part the most though since I had spent a lot of time with those girls and clicked instantly with them. Plus I didn’t want to cry or see Yazmine torn apart having to say goodbye to Niall again. I hope they really make this work between the two of them even though it made it easier that I was here to help her out with the feeling of having a hole in your heart being away from the one you care about. It was easy for us to talk about it because we were going through the same situation and we understood each other.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on my door before it was opened and Tye’s head popped through the opening with a smile on her face. I returned her smile and nodded my head in the direction for them to come in. They knew better than to wait for me to answer the door if they knew I was home, plus when I know they are coming; I usually leave the door unlocked for them.

“Hey Lady, you all set to go?” Tye asked as she came over to hug me while Jake and Yazmine entered the apartment also. I nodded my head in response as we pulled apart and was grabbed by Yazmine next for an embrace. She already looked upset that I was leaving and that Niall was also. I gave her an extra tight squeeze before pulling away. “You alright Yaz?” I asked, knowing that she was trying to look like she was when we both knew she was hurting. “Yeah, I’m okay. I’m just going to miss you Teagh.”

“I know but, you guys can come visit when you want. Mimi and I are talking about getting an apartment together hopefully. Her parents that it was better to get us one so there was more room. It would be under their name anyways since we aren’t 18 yet.”

As I looked around my friends I noticed that Jake was now in the kitchen with Harry and Niall laughing and drinking the coffee we picked up for him also. I assume he took off because he didn’t want to see us girls all emotional. The three of us decided to join the boys and give the girls their coffee and tea. Harry and Niall were talking to Jake about London and how he needed to come and see it for himself. I was happy that all the guys got along. It just made it easier so if any of them did want to come and visit I didn’t have to separate my time fully.

 It felt like the six of us sat in the kitchen talking and laughing for hours. I knew it was mid -afternoon and that we had to head to the airport soon. I started cleaning up all the trash that was in the kitchen since I was getting antsy and was dreading say goodbye.

Harry must of sensed it because as I stood facing the sink he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and gave me a squeeze. I could feel his hot breath by my ear as he whispered, “you okay Teaghan?” I just nodded because I didn’t know how well my face was going to come out.

It was now four in the afternoon and the time to say goodbye has now come. The lads and I had to head to the airport to catch our flight. Niall and Harry were talking to Jake as I group hugged Tye and Yazmine. They were both fighting back tears where I couldn’t cry, I wouldn’t let it happen. “Have a safe flight and don’t forget to let us know when you land safely.” Tye told me as we all pulled apart, “I will, I promise.” I smiled at her trying to lighten the mood a bit. I than pulled her into a separate hug to say a final goodbye. When we pulled apart I did the same to Yazmine, “if you ever need talk about anything don’t hesitate to get a hold of my Yaz. Even though I’m miles apart, I’ll always be there.” Yazmine nodded in response as we pulled apart and she went to go say goodbye to Niall. He held her tight as her face was buried in his neck. I knew she was crying but, I couldn’t blame her. I know what she was going through. He moved her away from her and kissed all around her face and then finished with her lips. I wanted to give them their space so I walked over to Jake and hugged him also. When we pulled apart I pointed at him and said, “You better take care of both my girls, understand?” Jake cracked a smile and nodded. “Yes ma’am” I nodded.

 We were now all walking out my apartment and jumping into a cab. Niall sat in the passenger seat while Harry and I jumped into the backseat. He instantly reached for my hand as we pulled away from the apartment. I watched it until I couldn’t see it anymore and whispered, “goodbye apartment.”
