Chapter 33

"Since when did Foyet have a son?" Hotch shouted, all the anger he has been building up has finally surfaced, this was his tipping point 

"Calm down Hotch, we couldn't have known all those years back! Jamie was with his mother and lived under a different name. George would never have told us about him." Morgan said trying to calm Hotch down. 

"He's trying to get our attention Hotch! He wants us to catch him" I said standing up and walking towards him 

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" I whispered in his ear as the rest of the team ranted about the case 

We walked out of the room and down to Hotch's office. We went inside and sat down. 

"Look Aaron..." I started 

"No Darcy, you don't have ..." he started but I cut him off 

"Aaron please" I sighed "I'm sorry about yesterday, everything took me off guard, I was shocked and angry but I promise you I did not mean any of those things" I said desperately 

"I do love you Aaron but I'm not ready for a baby, I just wanted what we had to last a little while longer without being serious" I sighed 

Hotch stood up and walked over to me, grabbing my hand and helping me stand up. He pulled me into a tight gripped hug, resting his chin on my head. 

"I know Darcy and I'm sorry I didn't chase after you! I shouldn't have let you walk out and figure this out on your own" he whispered softly 

"We can figure this out together Aaron, but right now we've got a serious problem with Jamie Foyet and I just need to know your head is 100% in this and that I need you to know I love you..." I stuttered feeling a lump in my throat 

"More than anything in this world" I whispered 

He gave me a quick kiss on the lips and made sure there were no tears in my eyes. 

"Let's catch this son of a bitch" he said sternly. 

We exited his room and went back down to the team. 

"Okay so this scumbag has killed 4 couples in the last 6 days and he's escalating quickly" Hotch started as we entered back into the conference room 

Suddenly the phone in the middle of the round table started ringing frantically 

"What is it baby girl?" Morgan answered the phone to Garcia 

"He's just after turning on his phone, he's in a warehouse just 5 miles north of here, there's 4 different warehouses all in a row!" she stuttered as she tried to get her words out as fast as she could 

"Great job Garcia" Prentiss replied 

"Rossi you take one of the detectives with you to the first one, Morgan and Reid you two take the second one, Prentiss and JJ can take the third one, Darcy and I will take the last one" Hotch ordered as we all hurried out to the cars. 

We didn't speak to each other the whole drive, I could tell Hotch was scared. 

Scared that history would repeat itself. 

We all pulled up outside the warehouses and split up. 

Hotch kicked down the door of the 4th warehouse and we went inside quietly. 

Along the hallway there was a fork in the pathway 

"Hotch we're going to have to split up, if he's in here we need to catch him fast before he realises we're here" I said quietly 

"No Darcy I'm not letting you go alone" he said harshly in a hushed protective tone 

"Hotch, trust me, we have to do this" I said sternly 

"Okay you take the left I'll take the right, stay on your mic okay!" he said as we split up 

As I walked there was no sign of anyone or anything. It was eerily quiet, damp and dark. There were 3 doors, one straight ahead, one to the left and one to the right. I hesitantly went for the one on the right first. I stood there for a second, listening. 

Then I felt a sharp blow to my temple 

As I fell to the floor, my sight went but I could hear Hotch over my mic 

"Darcy, are you there? Have you found him? Darcy?" he started to become frantic then the line went dead as I felt a kick to my side. I yelled out in pain screaming for Hotch. 

Just as I was about to lose all senses, I heard his harsh words 

"He can't save you now"
