Chapter 28- bad moments gone good

Bella pov

I woke up extremely exhausted the next morning and I quickly hopped into the shower. Yesterdays incident kept on roaming the mind and I tried to figure out why Blake had the sudden interest in talking to me. He had never talk to me before not even when me and Carter were dating. I got out of the shower and headed downstairs. As soon as I walk into the kitchen I see Steven on the phone so I don't bother saying good morning because it seems like a pretty serious conversation by the way he was screaming into the phone.

"Dad you what..your heartless" he shouts before he hangs up and shoves the phone into his pocket.

He turns around and pauses when he notices I was in the room with him. I quickly headed for the refrigerator and pretend I wasn't paying attention to his entire conversation. But I could feel his eyes follow me. I looked back up at him and notices called blank stare.

"So how much of that did you hear?" He said slightly step in front of me.

"Um not much I just got here."

"Bella... Don't lie to me what did you hear" I tense up at the venom in his words.

"I...um...I heard you say that that your dad is heartless and that's it I swear.

He takes a deep breath and runs his fingers through his hair, and then looks at me again.

"Look I'm sorry I snapped at you, just that I've been under a lot lately." He said wrapping his arms around the small of my back. I looked into his eyes full of sorrow. I look back at my feet and try and think of what to say.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked looking back up at him.

"Yeah anything."

Take a deep breath.

"What did you get so mad when he found out Blake with my seat partner?" His eyes widened and he starts to mumble.

"I was hoping you were going to ask that question." He and scratching the back of his neck and looking down on the floor.

"Well a while ago before I met you I met this girl and she was really special to me I thought she would be the one well one thing led to another and she ended up with Blake, and then he broke her heart she moved and I never saw her again, Took me a really long time to get over her that's actually why I always play girls because I don't want to get hurt again, I don't get attached to anyone and then have them take it but have them be taken away." he looks he looks directly into my eyes.

"I guess what I'm trying to say is when I saw him talking to you it was only a flashback I don't want him to take you for me." He said looking back down at the floor.

"You don't have to worry about that I've known him for a long time and I know his game I wouldn't ever be with him" I said catching Steven's eyes and squeezing him in a tight hug. I can feel his heartbeat against my chest. And the warmth of his breath tickling my neck.

I pulled back for a second and cradle his face in my hands. I'm back-and-forth from his eyes to his lips. He quickly leans in and closes the gap between us. I feel the rush of electricity all throughout my body in my heart jumps.

he suddenly pulls back and rest his head on my fore head, looks down on my stomach and places his hands around the small bump that has formed. I smile and my cheeks begin to blush. He looks back up at me and smiles.

After we realize what time it is and we quickly grab our stuff and head to the door.we managed to get to school just five minutes before the bell rings. Once again once we drove into the parking lot all eyes are on us.Although I try not let it bother me as I walk as fast as I can to my first period. soon as I walk in I see Carter smiling and he extends his arm to wave at me.

I chuckle take my seat next to him.The entire consists of me and Carter laughing and teacher yelling at us to be quiet.

Before you know it I'm sitting in fourth period next to Blake. It was probably one of the most awkward classes I've ever had.

"Hi Bella" Blake phone says cutting off the awkwardness. I turn to Blake I can see Steven glaring at him from behind his head.

"Um hi Blake" I said and quickly looking back down on my paper hoping the conversation wouldn't continue. ever since it happened yesterday I try to avoid talking to Blake at all costs.

Thankfully that's the only said to each other and the bell rang. I waited for Steven outside the classroom so we can go to lunch. We walked over to our lunch table and sat down where Aaron and Ericka were already seated. Then later came Carter and sat down with us. I never thought that I would be sitting with Steven and Carter at the same time, at the same table. I slightly smile continue to eat my lunch.

"Attention everyone!"

We all turn around to the right corner of the cafeteria to see who was speaking. And I soon as I see who it is my heart drops. Katie is standing up on the table with Blake next to her. Her eyes are glued onto me.

"Now we all know who Isabella Martinez is correct?"

"Or maybe you don't know exactly what's going on with her lately, Who remembers Cole Edward's party?"

I want to run away but I feel as if my feet are glued to the floor. He swallows my body shakes.

"Well at this particular party Isabella was invited by Cole, well one thing led to another and Cole managed to get prude Isabella to get it up to him , after that Isabella would not leave Cole she would call him 50 times a day text him all the time and she drove him crazy and that's why he moved schools."

" And to top it off she's pregnant with his baby and now because just because he wouldn't speak to her she's not letting them see his own child, don't know about you but that just seems downright cruel but that's not it now she's dating his best friend Stephen Davis."

Tears buildup behind my eyes and a spring up from my chair and run to the nearest bathroom. I slam the bathroom stall door closed and scream into my hands. I have never been more humiliated in my entire life, none of what she said is true but who's going to believe me.

Suddenly I hear the bathroom door open and I try to quite myself so no one would know I'm in here.

"Bella I know you're in here" I hear Ericka's voice say.

I stepped out of the bathroom stall and that's when I realize that Steven, Carter and Aaron are all there. Soon as I step out the only embrace meaning tight hug. I'm slightly smile and hug them back.

"Don't listen to a word Katie said, Steven took care of it" Carter said smirking.

I turn to Steven who is also smirking a devious smile.

"What exactly did you do?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

"Let's just say Blake ended it up with a purple eye" he said been smiling and pulling me in for a kiss.

Never fails to make a bad moment go good.
