"My beloved, I'm pregnant," Sera said, pulling Prompto's hands closer to her, holding them together. She had a faint smile on her face as she spoke, attempting to hide her excitement until he had processed it fully.
"You're what?" he asked, looking at her with confusion in his cobalt eyes. Prompto stared at his wife, truly confused and shocked at her statement. He couldn't believe what she was telling him. The two were married for three years and she was pregnant now. "But how?"
"I don't know how it's even possible that I am pregnant, but I have to assume that because we were both in a stasis state, by the time I got back into the real world, I started showing signs of it. I can feel the baby's presence and it makes things clearer. I'm carrying our child, a darling little angel that we created together that night in Tenebrae."
Prompto sat there, struggling to figure it all out. Before long, his eyes sparkled before he pulled her into a loving hug, overjoyed once he had pieced it all together.
"That's great news, Sera," he said, holding her close, not wanting to let them both go. He was beaming from ear to ear as he spoke.
"From the presence, I can only guess that I'm about a month or two along in the pregnancy." She looked down at her stomach where her one hand was, unable to believe it herself. "I've been thinking of a few names for the child... If it's a girl, I want to name her Irina. And if it is a boy, I want to name him Atsushi."
"Irina and Atsushi? I like them both. Maybe we could add Lydia and Akihiko to the list," Prompto added, carefully pulling his wife closer to him. "Whatever gender the baby is, they will be perfect." Sera continued to smile as she soon placed a kiss on his cheek.
"You say such sweet things to me," Sera said before hugging him close. "I'm gonna go to the other library. It's been a long time since I read my book. I'm eager to see what happened to Arcadia and her fellow team members!" Before long, she pulled herself away from Prompto and made her way to the library, with hopes to finish her book. Little did she know, her life was going to change for the possible worst outcome, or perhaps the best outcome.
Upon entering the library, she picked up her book and took a seat on one of the couches, opening the book, reading the page she had left off on. That was, until something unexpected happened that could alter how she saw her past and future. Something that could only have been kept deep within the mind of her father.
