"Here's the plan. We tie Yeah-Yeah to a rope, and we will be helping lower him down while Ham uses a wheel to lower him down" Bertram said

"Okay, but what is the beast eats him?" Jess asked

"He won't" Benny said

"He might. You guys wanna risk that?" Jess asked

"You said yourself that that ball was worth more than a life" Denunez said

"Yeah-Yeahs the smallest of all of us. This is the best we got" Squints said

"I guess" Jess sighed

"He'll be fine" Benny said

They got a long rope, tying it to Hams catching chest piece, making it so Yeah-Yeah would lay on it as they lifted him over the fence.

One end of the rope was tied to a wheel, which Ham controlled with his legs. The other end was held onto by Jess, Denunez, and Bertram, Benny nearby incase they needed help.

Jess was in front, Bertram behind her, and Denunez in the back of the line. Unknowingly, Jess had the hardest job.

When Yeah-Yeah was just above the fence

"Let me down slowly" He whispered

Jess nodded, sweat dripping down her face and she worked at letting the boy down.

"Okay, I got it. Get me outta here!" Yeah-Yeah whispered

"AHHHH!!! PULL HIM UP!" Squints yelled

As Ham hurried to pull the boy up, the wheel broke, leaving Jess and the rest to pull him up.

"Shit!" Jess yelled, pulling on the rope.

Bertram and Denunez hurried over to the other rope to pull him up quickly.

Just as Yeah-Yeah made was above the fence, everyone thinking he was safe, there was a noise.

"Uh... Benny" Jess hissed

Suddenly, the rope began to rip

"Shit!" Jess said

The rope snapped completely, Jess jumping to action to grab the end of the rope to pull Yeah-Yeah to safety

"What are you doing? Help me!" Jess said to Benny

He sprung to his feet and grabbed the girls waist, helping her pull Yeah-Yeah.

"Pull!" Ham yelled, Jess doing as she was told.

Smalls and Timmy scrambled in the tree house to get Yeah-Yeah to safety.

Once Yeah-Yeah was in the treehouse, Jess let go of the rope, making her and Benny fall to the ground.

"My god Yeah-Yeah, you almost just died!" Jess laughed, awfully close to Benny, but to wrapped up in what happened to notice

"I KNOW!" Yeah-Yeah yelled at the girl

She burst into a fit of laughter, Benny still basically under her.

Benny got up and helped the girl up, Jess still slightly laughing.

"Okay you guys. We need a seriously better plan." Benny said once they were all in the tree house together

"And no sending someone over the fence or using a stick to try and get it" Denunez said

"Wait... maybe we can send the ball to us, instead of sending one of us to the ball" Jess said

"What are you talking about, Jess?" Squints asked

"Smalls, you said last summer you built all sort of contraptions and stuff. Wouldn't happen to have built a catapult?" Jess asked
