Jungkooks POV
A short 3 minutes later, an ambulance showed up. Police cars following closely following behind and parked. A pair of EMTs walked up to the front of the house with a stretcher asking for where to go. They headed up stairs with my instructions to see the condition of Nayeon's grandparents.

No one came out of the police cars at first. My guess if they were filling in the station that they and the EMTs had arrived. Eventually, a middle-aged man came up to us.

"Mr. Park?" I asked.

"Oh, Jungkook, hello." He smiled. "And young man, it's Officer Park. Anyways, Why are you here?" Jimins' dad asked.

"I was the one who made the call. This is my friends house." I motioned towards Nayeon.

"I'm sorry to be seeing you again like this." He looked sincere. "May I ask you some questions?" He inquired, police-mode turning back on.

"Yes, of course. What do you need to know?"

"Well, first off the name of your friend here." Officer Park pointed to Nayeon. She was curled up into herself, sitting on an old white bench. "Kang Nayeon, sir. This house is her grandparents, whom she lives with here." I explained a little.

"Okay, thank you Jungkook. Now," He hesitated to ask,"do you think she'd be up for some questions?"

I wanted to answer. But frankly, I wasn't 100% sure that she was. The last 48ish hours have been crazy for her. She explained everything that went bad in her life to me, someone who she just met and is learning to trust still. And then comes home after being told to stay away from the house, to it disheveled. It's so overwhelming. "Let me ask, sir."

Carefully, I trapped on Nayeons hand. Her head slowly rose, exposing a tear and mascara stained face. She looked around, adjusting to her surrounds and noticing that the police showed up.

"Um, Officer Park here was, uh, wondering if he would be able to ask you some questions. Can he?" I made sure to make my voice in a low, soft tone.

Nayeons whole body tensed up at the thought. I could tell she didn't want to, but I also knew that she understood that it was protocol. She shook her head yes.

"Wait," her voice was horse,"can you s-stay with me w-while I answer?"

"Of course." I looked back at Officer Park and nodded so he knew he would come over.

We rearranged ourselves on the bench so we were more comfortable. Office Park sat across from us on a similar old, white chair.

"Nayeon, hello, I'm Officer Park. It's nice to meet you." He made a comforting, sweet expression towards her. "I need to ask you some question so myself and my team can understand what happened here."

"Oka-ay."

"Do you have any idea as to who did this?"

"My father- my father and pr-probably some of his friends." She took a deep breath. "It wouldn't have been the first time, sir."

Mr. Park look at her sadly. The second Nayeon said that, he understood that this wasn't the first time she had gone through this. It was only the first time it was this severe.

"Do you know what causes your father to have these outburst?"

Nayeons face grew paler, which seemed impossible. "H-he has a long, and Officer I mean long, history of abusing alcohol and drugs."

"Nayeon? Has he, uh, done anything else?" Officer Park was hesitant to ask. I looked over and Nayeon and she seemed scared to answer.

"Um, my father has hu-urt me, my grandparents too. But mainly he took out his anger on me." Tears started to well in her eyes.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's okay." I pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you, Nayeon. I'll let you know if we need anything else." Mr. Park stood up, "Jungkook, I'll see you soon as well."

"Thank you, Officer."

He went into the house, meeting up with the other officers in there. Nayeon stayed in my arms; quivering and crying. My entire body ached, understanding that she was hurting and wouldn't be able to stop hurting for a very long time.

Later on, the police can out and told us all of the damage that had been done. Nayeons father and his friends had taken the grandmothers jewelry, the grandfathers watch and some of his war medals. Their home office was ransacked; computers and basically all electronics were taken. Other simpler things like there were broken alcohol bottles and beer cans scattered all over the house, along with some knives that Nayeon and I had previously seen. The only thing they didn't touch was Nayeons room. Not a single thing was taken or even touched.

My god, his father has some bit of respect and care left in his body for his daughter.

"Jungkook? Could I speak with you for a moment?" Mr. Park asked me. I nodded and left Nayeon on the bench. We hadn't exchanged a single word once Officer Park left us, we just sat in complete silence. Frankly, I was afraid to say anything and I didn't know where exactly her head was.

"It's still the morning so I assume you guys aren't going to school?"

"You really think she's going to go to school after this?"

"Jungkook, I need you to listen to me. She isn't going to be able to stay here for a while. This is now a crime scene and we need to try and find her father and his friends. In a little bit, take her to her room and let her get some stuff to live off of for a while. The EMTs will be bringing out the grandparents soon so, I wouldn't let her see that."

"Wait, do you have somewhere in mind to take her?" I was worried he'd put her in foster care or something.

"She almost 18, a legal adult, so it would be a waste of time to take her to foster care. Nayeon will be staying at my house"-"Sir, she can stay with me. She was already there last night. Please, I know she'll be okay there and stay safe." I didn't want her going to Jimins' house. He'll try to take advantage of her or something.

"Jungkook, are you sure? Will your mother be okay with that?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I'll explain everything to her. Thank you, sir."

I walked back over to Nayeon and let her know what was going on. I took my phone out of my pocket and called my mom. Sure, she'll be a little mad but will understand.

I saw the EMTs emerging with stretchers. Knowing what they were carrying, I felt like stone. That was Nayeons grandparents. The only two things that had kept her sane while going through what she experienced.

I felt a grasp on my sleeve, it was Nayeon. I looked down and saw her shaking. I held her closer to my body. Muffled cries were heard from her small frame.

My heart aches when I heard them. Nayeon was in so much pain. Regardless of the fact that we just met, seeing her hurt like this, made me hurt too.

Then, Officer Park gave me a heads up, signaling that I could take Nayeon upstairs.

She was mute the rest of the day. She took some clothes and put them in one of her backpacks along with some other stuff she needed.

I reminded her that she would be able to come back in a few days, once all the police cleared out and it was cleaned. But she still didn't say anything.

Hello!

This update is probably a shocker since it's been almost a year since I've last updated. I'm going to be getting back into writing since I have more time in my hands to do so.
