Leaving Hawkins - Chapter One

Will's p.o.v

I was next to Jonathan, trying not to cry. I still couldn't process the fact that 14 memorable years of my life was all gone in 1 day. I started thinking about all the good memories I made.

All the good times I had with the party. With Dustin, Lucas, and Mike. It all started back in kinder when I first moved in and I was new here. I was alone in the swings, until some boy went up to me and said hi. His name was Mike.

We were both incredibly lonely, until he decided to spend some time with me at school. The only friend he had was Dustin, who he met while biking around the neighborhood. Dustin was with Lucas. I was with Mike. And that's how our party was born.

"Will? You okay?"

I suddenly heard someone saying my name.

I looked up and it was Jonathan.

"I'm fine."

"Why are you crying so much?"

I didn't know what to tell him, so I just remained quiet.

".. I'm not."
