Park Date

Y/N ×Jae (DAY6)

It was a beautiful day . I had woken up to my boyfriend Jae blowing  my phone up saying he was waiting on the front porch . When I got up and opened the door I found him waiting with a cooler and a picnic basket .

So here we were now walking through the park trying to find the perfect place to set up . Jae had tried to carry the cooler and basket with one hand so he could hold mine in the other but it just wasn't feasible so after some protesting on my part he Finally let me carry the basket so he could hold my hand . Priorities right?

Eventually after some walking around we found  a big shady tree to set up under . We both spread out a blanket to sit on and  we set up the food he had packed. We laughed and talked about small random things while we ate .

After I had finished stuffing myself I leaned my back against the tree  with a satisfied groan and  Jae plopped his head in my lap . I smiled and run my fingers softly through his hair my eyes feeling drowsy from the food.

I hummed softly looking down at his handsome face where his eyes were closed  contentedly . He pops open his eyes suddenly and gives me a little pout . I couldn't stand that pout . It should be illegal to use cuteness in such a way . "Y/N " He whined quietly"  I want a kiss " I rolled my eyes but leaned down to give him a gentle peck on the lips .

But he had other ideas . He sat up while holding his hand against the back of my head so we wouldn't break out of the kiss and he kissed me a little more forcefully . When he finally ended the kiss I just smiled at him happily .

He smiled back and opened his mouth to say something when suddenly I heard a loud voice behind me that was all to familiar . I felt my body grow stiff and I stared at the ground not knowing what to do but stay frozen.

"There you are you little brat " The tall man behind us growled out . Jae immediately jumped up and stood in front of me . "Who are you ?" Has asked . " Im her boyfriend " He nodded his head in my direction. I had started to shake but I stopped when he said that and clinched my jaw . "Ex boyfriend"  I  huffed .

Jae took one look at me and knew something bad was going on . " Okay I think you need to leave " He shifted to  block me .

The man's name was Derek . We had gotten together in the Junior year and me being the love struck teen I was thought the relationship we had was love . Boy was I wrong .

It was fine at first but things just started getting worse and worse . It started with verbal amusement . He down graded me and  told me I wasn't enough . That I was lucky to have a guy like him because no one else would ever look at me . He called me a whore a lot and a hoe, a slut  and countless other things . Then it started getting physical .

My parents never knew . It's not that they wouldn't  have cared it's just I hid it from them and thought I was the one to blame . Finally though after a while  Derek  went to college somewhere far away and while he was there he texted me ending the relationship abruptly .

And still I felt heart broken at first . I didn't feel like I was good enough .

Then I met Jae one day at a coffee shop   and everything changed . He made me feel accepted .He was so patient with me and made me realize what real love was . He healed my heart and helped me onto  the path to make it whole again .

He's all I have  left and now I had a sinking feeling the man in front of us was going to try to ruin everything. Derek stared right at me and smirked " Soo you think you Love him do you ? You think he Actually..... Loves  YOU? " He laughs " You have no idea what youre getting yourself into Princess . He's manipulating you . Using you . He's going to betray you . " The smirk  on his face widened as he saw myself already crippling under his antagonizing bribes .

Jaes hands slammed into his shoulders pushing him back . " That's enough . Who do you think you are? " He slammed him back again " Don't you ever talk to her like that . Don't you ever look at her like that .In  fact  Don't you talk to her or look at her ever again  "

Derek just smirked even more not fighting back at all. " You had no idea your girlfriend here was  Whore did you? Well have fun. We all get our turn " he laughed and walked away . Jae started to go after him but he turned to see me on the ground crying and he rushed to my side

" Baby  are you okay ? Are you hurt ? " I shook my head and tried to stand up but my legs were to shaky . "I'm Sorry Jae . I-I had no idea he had come back " Jae swept the hair back out of my face and wiped my tears with his thumb as he cupped my cheek.

" It'll be okay . I'm not going to let him get to you I promise . I'll be better prepared next time and I know everything he says is a lie . You are an amazing beautiful talented woman who deserves the best in the world and not a scum bag like him .

I calmed down in his arms and we went home to snuggle on the couch the rest of the day . As I laid in his arms I  realized how protected and safe Jae made me feel like no one else has ever done .

I was so grateful to him and I would pay him back someday and somehow but right now my undieing love for him would have to do .
