Carl leads me down a long hall with no windows.

We pass a few doors, each numbered differently.

Eventually we reach a big open room with tables and couches, a few people are scattered around the room. Some reading, some talking and some playing games.

A few are on their own in corners, looking quite lonely actually.

They must be the newer ones.

"This is the S.G.R.F.T.T which is social gathering room for troubled teens."

Carl informs me.

Wouldnt it be easier to just say the full name then labelling it by the initials? Like common people thats a long short form.

Either way i nod and we continue our journey.

Next stop was the cafeteria then the back garden, all fenced in of course. Now were headed towards the bedrooms.

"Floor 3 is girls and floor 4 is boys.

Lights out is 9:00 for the younger kids and 10:30 for everyone else. Morning wake up call is 8:00 during week days, Saturdays and sundays are free time, besides one session of therapy at 2:00.

The rest of the info will be on the schedule." Carl explains before stopping at door C 323. "Two girls per room."

Wow thats a lot to take in. Waking up at 8:00 am every day is pretty cool, i normally get up at 6:30 am for school so compared to that its pretty sick.

Carl searches his pocket for something while i look at the walls and doors around me.

This is my home for the next month or so, shouldn't be too bad, right?

He pulls out a key and then looks at me "the doors don't lock, no doors anywhere in this building lock, for obvious safety reasons. Therefore keys as such are not needed." He then places it back into his pocket and carries on.

I stare at him completely confused. "Wait, then why did you show me a key?" I ask.

"Just to show you what you cant have."

I will never understand carl, he either has a solid emotionless face or hes trying to crack a joke but fails miserably.

Ive only known him for 20 minutes but i can tell this is just who he is.

"So can i see my room now?" I ask quietly.

He nods and opens the door "your roommate is Jinn, shes 16 and has Bipolar disorder along with bulimia. She got here a week ago."

I nod my head before walking him into the small room.

Two single beds at either side of the room along with two dressers and 2 desks.

Thats it, plain and simple.

Surprisingly it doesn't feel too much like a hospital, more like a boarding school for people that need help which i guess it kind of is.

Then again i also get a creepy feeling that it seems like a mental institution.

This thought strikes a question in me "what other kinds of mental disorders are here?"

Carl looks thoughtful for a minute "well, it really depends but we mostly have anorexia, bulimia, bipolars, depression, anxiety, suicidal, borderline personality disorder, Intermittent explosive disorder and many many more. We also on rare occasions have a schizophrenic."
