You are my light // Jacklyn ff

This is chapter one, peace!

Today is the the day that I'll be going to my new school, or should I say prison. I don't get why my parents are sending me to a boarding school. I was perfectly fine here, in my old school with my old friends. Now they're sending me to some school in the middle of nowhere. "Jack, lets go!" My mom shouts to me from downstairs. Ugh do I really have to go, maybe I can still talk her out of it. "Mum, can't I just stay here with you?" I ask. "No I'm sorry babe, but this is something that your father and I have decided and it's going to happen." "Why though?" I ask. "Because we think this is the best for you and we want the best for you." She replies. Then we left in the car and as I was watching my house get smaller, I was getting more and more nervous.

We arrive at the school and it literally looks like a prison. There is a huge fence around the school and only one gate. The building is beautiful though, it looks like a castle and honestly I hope I get a room in one of the towers like in Harry Potter. I say goodbye to my parents by the gate because they are not allowed in the school. I walk towards the entrance of the school and I can already feel people staring at me. That's the problem with changing schools in the middle of the year. I am now the new kid for the rest of the year because nobody changes schools in the middle of the freaking year.

"Hello, Jack?" A boy asks me. "Yes, that's me." I reply. "Ah, welcome to Oakwood, I'm Sonny and I'll be your school guide." He seems nice and all but I really just wanna go to my room. "Yeah mate, I'm really tired can you just show me to my room and leave this thing for tomorrow?" I ask. I've never been so rude to anyone but at this point I don't care. Maybe I'll make the impression of a bad boy or something and other people won't bother me. "Sure man, your room is next to mine so you can walk with me." I follow him to my room and say thanks. When I step in my room it's a lot smaller then I thought it would be but it's for 1 person. I'm so happy right now, I don't have to share my room with some dumbass. After I unpack my things I just walk to the window to see my view. There is a big square in the middle of the school, and I can look inside the room of the person on the other side of the building. Suddenly someone walks up to the window and looks into my room. He waves and smiles at me so I just smile back and quickly close my curtains. Wow, that was awkward. "Never do that again." I say to myself. I go and lay down on my bed and fall asleep right away.

*next morning*

 

I wake up from someone knocking on my door. I look at the time and it's already 8 o'clock. Frick, I overslept! "Hey mate, I still have to show you around so can you please open up?" Sonny asks. "Yeah man, I'm coming!" I scream back. I quickly put on some clothes and brush my teeth, then I walk towards the door and Sonny is just standing there with a goofy grin. "So what's your schedule?" He asks. "I've got maths and English in the morning, French, science and biology after the break." "Cool, I also have English and maths in the morning but in the afternoon I've got different classes." He says.

*after school tour*

We walk to our maths class and the first person I see is a very hyperactive boy. Sonny and I sit together in the back of the class and the boy is just sitting two seats in front of us. "Who is that?" I ask Sonny. "That's Brooklyn, he's a sweetheart. Always happy and when you're with him you're happy too. I'll introduce you to him later." He says. I don't know if I'll like him because most of the time people like that annoy me to death. Like, how happy and smiley can someone be? The teacher walks in the room and starts talking. I'm not paying attention because I keep looking at Brooklyn and how he's just laughing and talking. It's kinda cute not gonna lie, the way he behaves around people. Suddenly I feel someone tapping my shoulder and it scares me to death. "Shit!" I scream. Everyone laughs and I see the teacher standing next to me. "Well that's a good start of your first day isn't it mister....?" The teacher says. "Jack, Jack Duff." I say.

Hi, this is my very first fanfiction ever. I only started making this cause I promised my friends I would go full fangirl because they found my fanaccount on insta. I'm gonna post it there too cause why not?
I'm scared to write any smut in this book cause i dont wanna scare my friends away with my unholy thoughts....😂🤫 Maybe i'll only write it here but not post it on insta... dont know yet but i'll find out what i'll do when i get to that part.
My native language is not English so I'm sorry if there are any spelling mistakes.
