CONNOR SAW HOW the vibrant petals of the cherry blossom fell delicately upon the woman's shoulder. He watched observantly from behind, analyzing every poised and graceful movement that came from the most trusted person registered within his system.

"That was splendid work, Connor." She said, finally turning towards him. Despite the compliment, she looked quite stern.

"I merely carried out my function, Amanda. I caught the deviant like I am designed to do."

Amanda stared at the android before returning to her bonsai, carefully trimming it to perfection. "What are some conclusions that you have on Lieutenant Anderson?"

He had to pause for that one, skimming through his software to find the most appropriate answer with the highest percentages of catering to her.

"He is hot-headed and doesn't seem to appreciate my presence. However, I will do my best to make him more accepting of our partnership. It will make the investigation much easier."

The woman promptly placed the shears down and walked towards him slowly. "Do what you must to accomplish your mission, but remember one thing, Connor. Don't let Anderson come in the way of success. Keep this mission as your upmost priority."

Before he could even answer, he opened his eyes and he was inside the Detroit Police Department, sitting at the desk across from Hank, who was working quietly on the computer. Suddenly, a report from CyberLife entered his system, and he quickly stood up.

"I just received an order to investigate a situation involving an AP400 android model. It went missing after it supposedly attacked its owner, and it is suspected to be deviant." Connor alerted Hank, who did not budge from his seat, nor bother to respond.

Connor persisted. "Lieutenant, we must check it out, in order to further our investigation."

He still did not extract a reaction.

The android prompted his arms on his desk and leaned in, which he was 100% sure would provoke the man in some way.

"You must put your personal problems aside, Lieutenant. It is hindering the progress of our investigation."

That seemed to aggravate the man, as he grabbed him by his collar and shoved him against the wall, seething in his face. Connor detected traces of alcohol, particularly Black Lamb-- containing 40% whiskey content.

"Look, you fucking prick. CyberLife must've put some asshole program in you because you are really pushing my buttons. If you want to investigate so badly, then go by yourself. I ain't dealing with your shit today." He whispered violently, abruptly letting him go, and resuming his previous work.

It was then when Amanda's words resurfaced.

"Don't let Anderson come in the way of success. Keep this mission as your upmost priority."

Connor straightened his tie and approached the Lieutenant once more.

"I will head out first, Lieutenant. You may follow me if you please."

He turned his back to Hank, ignoring the comments he made under his breath and walked out of the room.

KARA TILTED HER head as she saw Todd raise Alice in the air and shake her furiously. It was odd, and though there was an underlying sensation there, she could not determine what it was. Her bio-components felt tighter than ever and after analyzing Alice's disturbing drawings, her pump regulator began to function irregularly.
