heyyy back at it again with another contest entry because apparently i just,,,,, be entering contests lol
it's like midnight and i haven't slept in like two days so uh sorry if i sound like a crackhead i think i forgot how to speak english
this is my entry for the lovely SD5Five 's art contest! the theme was to draw our favorite movie character, so i drew Merrill Hess from Signs
if you haven't seen signs you absolutely need to right now because it is LITERALLY the greatest movie of all time i've watched it like eight times and every single time it's still just as good as the first time i saw it like three years ago when i was 13
also if you've seen it and you like it you're legally required to be my best friend that's just how it be

not sure if i like the sorta grainy effect thing i did but oh well aha
i did have to use a pose reference for this too because um yeah i don't regularly draw people about to swing baseball bats, i don't think i've ever actually done that before now
and it's kinda hard to see unless you zoom in but i also drew all the engraving on his bat that was in the film ^^

i wish i could have captured their, like, essence or whatever better but i wanted merrill to be the focus of the drawing so the alien will just have to deal with being a blob :/
anyways i could ramble about this movie for literally hours, but i'm just going to leave it at this aha
but seriously, i do recommend everyone watch it, it's sO GOOD oh my l o r d
