Best Friend (N.H)

Sitting on the bleachers in the gym. You looked out into the sea of people wearing long dresses, short dresses,  poofy dresses, flat simple dresses, and tuxedos.

Your best friend Nicky took you but decided to go off with others and leave you in the dust, he was really your only friend. I mean of course you were friends with the other quads but you didn't see them and didn't want to make the effort to go and weave through the crowd to find them.

You were tired of sitting on your phone so you decided to go outside for some fresh air.

Walking outside and around the school you find the little swing set for study hall. Your school lets you go outside and talk to your friends while you have study hall. But only of course if you don't have to work you need to do.

You sit on the swing and start rocking back and forth while looking up at stars. Every single one was glistening, it was beautiful. Every time there were stars out you pulled a Tiana and pretended to wish on a star like it would come true.

Closing your eyes you start to create a wish, "I wish Nicky wouldlove me the way i love him."

Suddenly you hear foot steps. You shoot open your eyes and look next to you. Its Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn. But no Nicky.

"Hey" You say quietly.

"Why are you out here if the party is in thereeee?!" Dawn asks.

"Its not a party if you have no friends to hang out with and have fun with." You mumble.

" Well wheres Nicky?" Ricky asks. You just shrug your shoulders.

Dicky grabs your hand and abruptly pulls you up, startling you slightly.

"Come on I wanna make the kid jealous for leaving you alone." Dicky says.

"Why?" You ask.

"Because I'm bored." Dicky says,

Rolling your eyes you mumble a "whatever" as you get dragged into the school.

You get dragged on the dance floor and watch as Dicky starts to do stupid shit.

You giggle at him making him look at you and smile.

You look slightly to the left of you and see Nicky sitting on the bleachers looking right at you and Dicky.

He didn't look to happy either.

"Hey Dicky I see Nicky and I think I'm going to go and talk to him." You say as Dicky smiles and opens his arms for a hug. You smile and give him a high five and start to make your way over to Nicky.

You sit next to him and smile, " How's it going?" 

"I don't know, good I guess." He replies frowning.

"What's wrong?" You look at him he was shaking.

"Let's go outside, I know a good place." You say grabbing his hand and leading him to the swings.

He takes a deep breath in, immediately calming down. 

"Tell me what's wrong." You say sternly.

"So when we got here you went to the food bar and I got dragged away by a group of people one of which was Kendra. I watched you look for me in confusion and when I tried to leave they just dragged me back. I watched you walk outside then just ten minutes later saw you dancing with Dicky I got a weird feeling inside. So I go back to talking to all of them and Kendra kissed Jayce. So I go and sit on the bleachers and see you with Dicky. As i'm watching you I just stare. Your hair flowing as you sway to the music. And the way you smile when he's being retarded. And just now i'm thinking of how caring you are and why I haven't thought that the reason I have never dated anyone in the past few months is because it's you. It's always been you. You always know how to make me smile and laugh in any situation or how to calm me down. Like right now. You're listening to me and you care. I truly couldn't ask for anyone better." He lets it all out as he calms down and stands up.

You look at him and start to talk, " Nicky it has always been you. Since we first met I knew you would be the one I would fall for. I've always been in love with you. The way you care about e and make me laugh. The way your dimples just shine and how your eyes glimmer. How you are so sweet all of the time. I don't know how you do it. Nicky i've been in love with you. Always."

He looks at you with the biggest smile on his face.

"So we just did that." He says.

You laugh and nod your head.

"You look absolutely gorgeous tonight." He says while looking you up and down.

You blush and murmur a quick, "Thank you."

"You wanna swing?" He asks.

Of course you said yes.

You sit on the swing and he keeps pushing you back and fourth not to high but not to low.

Feeling the air through your hair calmed you down a lot.

You smiled as you looked through the city and looked up at all of the stars. 

At that moment you remember what happened earlier.

The wish came true.

Your best friend loves you the way you love him.

You close your eyes and let the breeze take over you. Smiling you giggle at yourself.

You suddenly notice he isn't pushing you anymore you start to look around.

The swing immediately stops and you gasp.

"Scared ya didn't I?" He laughs and you punch him in the arm.

"That wasn't funny!" You exclaim and pout.

"Not to you but it was to meeeeeee." He says and chuckles.

You look back into his eyes and you just sit there. His hand goes to your face as he moves closer.

Your breath hitches as his lips connects to yours softly. As the disconnected you smiled.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked blushing and smiling.

"I would be honored Nicky." You say smiling.

As you reconnect your lips all you hear in the back round is,

"Get it Nicky!!"

"Shut your fucking mouth Dicky!"

And the back gym door being shut.
