X-Factor (a Cimorelli Story)

Chapter 9

*Lisa's POV*

The van brought us to another big house, each category got placed into different rooms, so one room is full of solo boys, solo girls, group acts and +25 years.

Me and the rest of the girls in my group are clumped together holding hands. Lauren's to my right and Christina to my left.

We just got put into this room and we are waiting for one of the judges to open the door so we can see who gets our category.

We're all nervous to say the least, we just want all this to go well, we all have a dream and if we can accomplish it together we will work our butts off for it.

We hear someone walking on the other side of the door and I can feel everyone's excitement in the room to see who it is.

The door starts to open and my breath catches waiting for the suspense to end.

I then see Nicole walk into the room with the biggest smile on her face. I finally release the breath I was holding and everyone in the room starts jumping up and down and yelling out of excitement.

Nicole runs up to us with her arms open and everyone run up to her engulfing her into a huge group hug.

"OH MY GOD IM SO EXCITED I GOT YOU GUYS!!" Nicole says hugging the people closest to her.

We all break the group hug and start talking with Nicole about what's gonna happen and how she's thinking of mentoring us.

We all got sent back to our group house and me and the rest of the girls are in Christina, Amy and Katherine's shared room.

We still need to work out what song we're gonna do, since we already figured out our group name.

"Does anyone have any suggestions?" Christina ask's as she looks around the room at everyone.

We all just sit there in thought thinking of a good song to sing as a group.

We have to pick the song today because we only have 2 days to practice then we have to preform it. So we have to pick a song today and start practicing on it.

"Ohhh I got a good one!" Kath says and everyone looks over at her waiting for her to tell us the song.

"Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus! She's pretty popular right now and everyone knows that song." Kath says proud of her self for thinking of it.

"I do agree that song is pretty popular and I do like Miley. Does everyone want to do this song?" Christina says and looks over at the rest of the girls. We all nod at her, and she happily pulls out her phone to text Sara our song.

I grab my laptop that I brought in here and start to search up the lyrics to the song so I can start on the harmonies.

If you didn't know already we all have our jobs in the group, based on what we're interested in and good at.

Me, Lauren and Christina are gonna work more on the music and the other three are gonna work more out side of the music.

Meaning by Chris makes the final decisions on songs and harmonies, I work out the harmonies with Lauren and Lauren also finds a good instrumental to practice with.

Dani, Amy and Kath work with the staff to help with our outfits so we match but are wearing things we want to wear that we are comfortable in, they also help work out the hair and makeup.

Kath, Dani and Amy decided to leave the room so they can text the makeup and hair people and decide on the looks without bothering me, Lauren and Christina.

Me and Lauren have been sitting on Christina's bed for a few minutes working out the harmonies on my laptop while Chris is on her phone texting Sara on information about the judges house performance.

Chris then gets up and tells us she has to help the other girls and that we can text her when we're done with the harmonies.

As soon as Chris closes the door I look over at Lauren, She has my laptop on her lap as she's typing away fixing up who gets what part of the song.

We already have most of the harmonies done we just need to clean up the finishing touches and print out the music sheets for everyone to practice with.

"So what do we have left Laur?" I ask scooting closer to her and I lean my head towards her so I can see the computer screen better.

"Well we have all the parts worked out and the harmonies set up. But I did have a great idea but we'll have to see if Chris agrees with it." Lauren says and looks down at me as my eyes are scanning over the laptop.

"What's the great idea? I bet Chris will allow it." I say sitting up straight and look at her.

"Well I thought instead of having an instrumental track In the background we could do it acapella?" Lauren says in more of a question type then a statement.

I smile at Lauren and nod.

"I love that idea! Christina will for sure say yes!" I say and Lauren smiles back at me.

I just continue with my smile staring at her, she continues to smile back at me. And I lose track of time just staring at her till I feel my self start to lean in.

Our face's are only inches away and I see Lauren look down at my lips whilst licking her own.

I hear the door swing open and we both jump back.

We look to the door way and see it's Christina, she's smiling at us and I'm praying to god that she didn't see what was just about to happen.

"So did you guys figure everything out?" Chris says and sits down on the bed.

I look over at Lauren and she nods then turns the laptop around so Chris can see it. "Yep, and I had an idea that instead of having an instrumental background we could do it acapella." Chris eyes widen with excitement and she nods at Lauren.

"Yess oh my god that's a great idea!" Chris says and Lauren smiles proud of the idea she came up with.

"Great, now we can get straight to working on this." Chris nods at her self and pulls out her phone, to text Sara and the other girls so we can get started.

God I don't think I'll be able to pay attention, was Lauren actually gonna let me kiss her? I don't know but I really hope this doesn't screw up anything between us.
