Julia's POV
Rosemary just gave me a news that made my turned everything upside down

I can't get back my home if I'm dead!!!

The whole room was spinning and then I heard a familiar laugh

After a few seconds, I finally located where the laugh was coming from

I then realized where I was, Rosemary's living room

But the question is why is she laughing?

It couldn't be that she had this planned, could it? Could she have poisoned me or something?

No, I'm over thinking this, she's my best friend

And if she wanted me dead, she could have killed me a long time ago

"Stop over thinking it, girl, you should see your face right now" she laughed again

"You just gave me the one news I could have never expected and all you can do is laugh?" It sounded a lot better in my head

"Calm down, girl, your illness can be cured"

"But you said...."I started but she cut me off

"I know what I said, okay?" she asked rhetorically before continuing "it can be cured with time and the right attitude and not by doctors"

"I don't understand"

She let out a breath before explaining "Julie, listen, you are suffering from Heartbreak"

Relief washed over me, I didn't even have a reply for her

"I've seen all the symptoms, Julie say something" she whined

"So, what are these symptoms?" I asked, not angry but curious. She scared me out of my skin because she thinks I'm heartbroken. She's unbelievable

"You zone out so frequently, you get irritated easily, you always want to be busy just to forget and lastly your smile....that smile that made us friends....that beautiful smile...." She said before pausing

I didn't say anything and just looked at her expectantly

She sighed before continuing "Julie, when you smile now even when it seems so bright, your eyes are sad, it doesn't have the same effect"

I still stayed silent, I didn't understand what she was saying

She knows me well enough to know that I didn't understand

"Julie, just know this you're suffering from a terrible illness that only you can cure, heartbreak, you're still at the first stage but it can get much worse" she explained and I didn't know what to say

"O...Kay?" I said in a questionlike way

"Listen, Julie, I know what you're thinking but you need to understand. You can't see heartbreak as nothing, it is a very serious illness and you need to cure it"

"So, what you're saying is....."I started and waited for her to complete it

"What I'm saying is you need to help yourself, figure out what you really want, separate your wants from your needs" she completed and sighed before speaking again

"A while ago, you told me you still loved your husband and I understand, it's very normal. You can't just wake up one morning and decide to 'fall out of love' " she said putting quotation marks with her fingers on 'fall out of love

I averted my eyes from hers and instead looked at her hand which was still on mine, she noticed this and removed her hand

I got up almost immediately and went to the balcony

I just felt like I needed some fresh air

I stood and watched the sky, the birds flew freely and I suddenly wished to be like them, I want to be free.

She gave me a few minutes before coming to stand at my side

I glanced at her and turned my focus back to the sky

"You know, you can be like them" she said after a few minutes

"What?" I asked wondering how she read my mind

"You can be like them, you can be free" she repeated still watching the birds

"Rosie, what should I do?" I asked wanting advice, I didn't know what to do

"Whatever you want" she replied almost instantly

"I don't know what I want" I told her all the while my focus not leaving the birds

"Now that is something you need to work on, find out what you want and in the process find out what you need. Separate them and focus on what you need first and then what you want. Don't think about any other person only you" she said and then turned to leave

"For once in your life listen to me, Julia, please think about you and no one else" she finished as she made her way out and back into the living room

She left me with questions, what do I really want?, what do I really need?

And most importantly, how will I find the answers to these questions?
