My frozen hands are too cold to warm my aching legs.
My heart is too broken to put itself back together.
But my spirit will,
My spirit is strong, though sometimes it pretends not to be.
My spirit has held my heart together before,
It will do it again.
My spirit will push my hands to work through the pain of frozen fingers.
Even though my knees are too weak to walk through the snow.
My back too crooked to walk tall.
It is hard, but my spirit will, it will force my legs to move.
And will myself to stand tall.
My spirit is strong.
It has to be, it is the only thing I have. When everything else lacks the will, the strength to heal.
My spirit will push me through.
