Koyo High is a highschool in Tokyo, Japan that's prominent for its sports. Among the various sports, tennis is one out of many that is emphasized at the highschool.
Koyo's male tennis team is managed into two parts: the single players and the double players.
Forty|Love focuses more on the singles players.

Singles - 1v1 player tennis game Doubles - 2v2 player tennis game Forehand - a one-handed stroke where the racquet is in a player's dominant side. Backhand - a one-handed or two-handed stroke where the racquet is played on a player's nondominant side. Volley - striking the ball before it hits the ground Deuce - a tie of 40 all, which can be broken with winning two points consecutively.

Tennis scoring is different from other sports. A tennis match has three sets. A player must win atleast six games to win a set. Everyone starts with love all.
Starting point (0) - Love First point (1) - 15 Second point (2) - 30 Third point (3) - 40 Fourth point (4) - Game Point
To win a game, a player must win 4 points first except in deuce, where it's different.
