It was a nice sunny day in new York I was sitting here talking with my pops catching up I live in Chicago but I try to keep in touch with him physically I was still in Chicago but digitally I was in my pops house in new York (I can't remember what it's called chase and Miranda were doing it in episode 1 when she met his parents )we were catching up about what's been happening since we last talked a month ago
Dad:so get a girlfriend yet?
(Y/n):can we not talk about this now?
Dad:heh fine fine I'll drop it so how's collage been?
(Y/n):it's been pretty.....alright....
Dad:oh? Then why did you pause there hm? Getting into more trouble?
(Y/n):a little but to be fair it's your fault for teaching me to just up and punch a bully.
Dad:*sigh* that was one time, and I was joking.
(Y/n): meh I was young and impressionable stuff like that was gonna be stuck in my head joke or not.
Dad:don't you use my excuse to the principal of your old school on me it'll never work.
(Y/n):*whistling innocently* don't know what your talking about old man. Anyways what's new with work?
Dad:don't think I didn't see what you did there but since a got a shift in a little bit I'll let it slide today. And it's been good crimes down but still there stopped a thief and a high speed chase but other than that not much.
(Y/n): good to hear anyway I'm gonna go so I can study some more.
Dad:alright but don't forget what you promised I know you hate school but you promised you'd stay at least two years in college before you go join the military.(for storyline purposes)
(Y/n):yeah yeah I know anyway see ya pops.
Dad:see ya son.
Then you leave and sigh then you remember something that sends a chill down your spine
(Y/n):OH CRAP I HAVE A HUGE TEST TOMORROW!!
you had put off studying and ended up forgetting until now
(Y/n):well guess I gotta memorize 30 pages.......crap.
Little did you know that this would be the last call you made to your father as well as your drive for the future
Timeskip 3 years after the fall (because I can't think of how to write the scene where you get the call about your father may put it in a flashback in the story may not still not sure)
???:I've identified another candidate for genlock.
???2:who is it this time?
???:a soldier of the vanguard a private (y/n)(l/n)
???2:hmm fine fine but I'll wait till you start assembling the others before I contact him
???:very well then

Well I hope you enjoyed the first chapter this is the first time I've made a story of a show on this site and period so sorry if it's a bit messed up also the college bit has no significance to the story besides background on what you did for four years now I just gotta figure out how to introduce the reader to the esu genlock program I have a slight idea but it means I may have to make a small change to the description anyways thank you for reading hope you enjoy and I shall get started on the next chapter but no clue on when it'll be released
Also just a heads up no romance because I'm just starting out writing stories like this don't want to try to add romance yet
