Once again the burning man has taken you away.
I'm on trial now for what I can't tell
But the burning man is screaming
"Guilty"
my sentence is death.
I'm bagging on my knees cause please,
I just need to see her again.
But on my shoulder is the burning man
he screams into my ears,
"YOU"RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" "YOU"RE NEVER GOING TO MAKE IT!"
but once again I cry screaming out your name.
Alone
In my painful cell with these words I try to tell you
how much I miss you.
And again I cry these silent tears
that only confirm my fears
And I remember that
Once upon a time
I was happy
but once upon a time is gone now
with out
you.
At night I hear the howl of a wolf
and the hoot of an owl.
So I'll take this pain
just for you
I love you
my sister,
But tonight I'll cry my silent tears.
One day I'll try to confirm my thousand of fears
Once again I'm on the stand
The burning man is screaming
And I cry back.
He says I should die for my crimes.
Then I start to cry burning out in fear,
I scream your name in my cell
even though I know you can't tell.
The wolf's head hangs low between the bars
She is tired of the screaming
As I am with words.
The owl sits with me in my cell
staring at me big wise eyes
I try to fake a smile but it doesn't last
They know I love them as much as I love you
But all their love and support
won't save me from my demons.
The burning man still screams
But he is blocked out by my fear of knowing
One day he'll take you down to the ground
where I will lie
and you will cry
silent tears again confirming all my fears
