*Emily's POV*

its been about a week since Zion invited me to his party and that was the last time I've heard from him. I kinda figured because this all seemed too good to be true. I was pretty upset because I felt kinda played but I didn't want to let it get to me too much but I also couldn't help but be upset.

"Emily wanna go to the gym?" Lauren said coming in my room

I honestly forgot she was even here because I've just been laying in bed all day.

"no I'm not feeling too good" I say flipping over so she can't see me

"Emily. get ur ass up. u haven't left this house in a week." she says

I dont respond because I'm just not in the mood

"look. I know u don't care. but don't let what happened with Zion ruin ur whole life. I don't know him personally and neither do u but I know he's not the type to just leave a person hanging. I'm not standing up for him at all but it was the first time you guys met so maybe he wants to give it some time before he sees you again. He did seem kinda shy" Lauren says sitting on the side of my bed

"no it was probably because I'm disgusting and he doesn't wanna talk to me" I mumble

"OW" I say rubbing my head because Lauren just hit me with a pillow

"THIS IS WHAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO DO. YOU ARE EMILY. INCASE U FORGOT UR A BAD BITCH. IF ZION DOESNT WANT TO TEXT U BACK THEN THATS ON HIM CAUSE HES MISSING OUT. SO WHAT UR GONNA DO IS GET UR ASS UP AND WE'RE GONNA GO WORKOUT" Lauren yells dragging me out of bed

"ughhh, I hate u" I say getting up slowly

"no u don't" she says handing me my workout clothes

She leaves and I change into my clothes. she drives to our gym that is like 5 minutes away. We walk in and I immediately miss my bed. I turn around to walk out but Lauren pulls my arm and tells me to just work out my anger. Lauren walks over to this boxing ring that they had and she grabs a pair of gloves for herself and for me.

"now this is how you get out ur anger" she says throwing me my gloves

"ohhh maybe this will work" I say smirking putting on the gloves

Lauren and I boxed for a good hour and a half and it did feel good. I felt less anxious and it made me forget about everything.

"so do you feel good now?" Lauren asked

"yeah I'm getting there" I said smiling

"good, lets go get food yeah?" She says

We leave the gym and drive to go get food at a cute new restaurant. The waitress seats us and I decide what I want to eat. They have so many options that I literally want to order the whole menu but I have to control my self. The waitress comes back and me and Lauren order our food then give her our menus.

"whats that smile for?" I ask Lauren who's smirking at her phone

"its nick. we've been talking but I didnt want to say anything cause ya know.." she says looking away

"noooo!! sis ur talkingggg?? omg lemme get my tea" I said laughing

"he's really cute" she said smiling

"BITCH SHUTUP MY HEART" I say laughing

The waitress brought out our food and I grubbed. I was so hungry I didn't realize. As I'm eating I feel my phone vibrate so I check it. I look down and look back up at Lauren

"its Zion isn't it" Lauren says

"yuuuupppp" I say

"what'd he say?" she says

"here" I say handing her my phone

*** (zions message) ***

hey Emily, sorry I didn't text you sooner. I didn't wanna come off too strong. I'm not too good with this type of stuff so I didn't know when the right time to text you would be. I hope you don't think I forgot about you. I really would like to take you out on that date I promised is tomorrow at 8 okay? again I hope u don't hate me

"BITCH I KNEW HE HAD A GOOD REASON" Lauren says handing me my phone back

I read the message over again and smiled. he is really shy and I never thought he would be like that. I sighed in relief and decided I would reply back to him when we got home. we finished our food which was so good and headed back home.

"im gonna shower ill be quick" Lauren says

I nod and grab my phone reading the message again. "I'm not too good with this type of stuff" I kept reading over and over.
