Broken

We were best friends

We were a couple

But we weren't together

What we had wasn't real.

Our friendship was real

Our relationship wasn't

You didn't like me like that

But somehow I did.

It wasn't supposed to be like this

It never should've happened

I don't regret it at all

And I never will.

My heart is now broken

My throat is closed

My eyes are watery

I'm gonna cry.

I can't speak

I can't scream

Nothing is helping

Nothing ever will

I'll say it once

And never again

I like you. There
