It had been two weeks since Harry had been back at Hogwarts but he

still had the same dream every night, Voldemort standing in a field of

dead yellow grass and blood on his feet. Laughing that demonic laugh

while telling Harry he was going to lose this time around. Sometimes

the dream was more detailed and Harry would notice the landscape more,

he saw far off to the side a demented malformed scarecrow. Or the tall

twisted trees with black bark and no leaves. Harry could sense the

heavy dark energy that surrounded the land and it filled him with a

terror that he woke up screaming and sweating.

Ron was shaking him awake "Harry! Mate, wake up it's a dream!" Harry

woke with a start and his scar burnt as if someone was pressing a hot

iron to it. Later Ron, Hermione, and himself sat downstairs in front

of the fire, "so tell us again Harry, what do you see in the dream."

Hermione sat close to Harry, pressing a hot cup of tea into his hands,

Harry shuddered at the memory " Its like I said, I'm in a clearing and

Voldemort there, I notice everything around him is dead, the grass

and the trees' Harry pauses ,' and I can smell something...foul. Like

rotten meat and I get the feeling it's human..." Ron turns green,"

like human flesh? Bloody hell, Harry you must be joking, where is

there that there's that many dead corpse stinking up an entire field

you'd think someone’s notice?" Harry shook his head "see that's just

it I don't think it's anywhere in plain view, in fact I don't think

it's anywhere here period." Hermione wondered " Harry, do you mean

like it's enchanted? Like it's hidden so no one can find it?" Harry

nodded " exactly, Voldemort planning something, an army maybe and my

guess is he's killing people, muggles maybe and has bodies just laying

around everywhere, but it's somewhere hidden by magic so if anyone

walked by they'd be invisible." Ron commented something though that

made sense " yeah but you'd still smell rotten human flesh?" Harry

just leaned back in the couch, staring into the fire " I dunno Ron,

it could be just a dream." ," I still think you should tell Sirius,

he'd know if something was happened in parts of the woods." Hermione

made a good point, Harry would have to get in touch with his

Godfather...

Three days later at 3:40 am he heard a rapping on the dormitory

window, Hedwing was tapping the window while clutching a triangle fold

piece of parchment, "hold on Hed-there you go, give me that," opening

the window and taking the folded paper from her beak as she hopped to

his arm. Harry put her on a tall wooden bird stand that was next to

his bed and with a soft "who" she hopped off his arm and onto the

stand, Opening and unfolding the triangle till it was whole he read

the letter his godfather wrote him regarding his recent one he wrote

prior

"My dearest Harry...it is odd you mention the smell, and the missing

muggles. Harry...when I was in dog form a couple weeks before you

started school I was wandering in the forests and farm pastors and

overheard the sheep and cows conversing about how they were afraid to

graze out in the field next to the woods, how they could smell rotten

odor and saw dark things walking through the brush, so I decided to

check it out. At first I didn't want to, the energy coming from the

darkness of the forest was terrifying, but I forced myself to push on

and I indeed smelt decayed meat decomposed, it wasn't animal smell but

human. To those with a great nose we canines can pick up delicate

scents and it was a strong lingering... Harry you must promise me you

will not try to explore the woods or the thicket, for

I sense evil lurking... I know you saw it in one of your dreams of

Voldemort but I must stress to you please, stay at Hogwarts. Stay safe.

Your loving godfather, Sirius Black"

Harrys hair stood on end, he could see the hand writing was messy as

if Sirius's hand shook as he wrote and he paused alot as if unsure if

he should be telling Harry what he knew. His Godfather was never weak

or unsure when he wrote or spoke to him but he almost herd a pleading

tone to the letter. A desperate plea for Harry to not play hero this

time and stay safe within the confines of the school. And Harry became

more afraid.
