[name] was pissed off. she couldn't believe he had actually had the nerve to avoid her all day! they were partners! why couldn't he grow a pair and face her as classmates so they could get their schoolwork done? how could he be so damn childish!
seven o'clock rolled around and [name] was on the verge of going crazy! she needed to breathe.
she sighed and put on her hoodie and walked out of her dorm room, both hands in her pockets. she didn't care if night strolls weren't allowed, she had to think.
the rain was pouring, making her shiver at the touch of the cold drops. she began to walk against the sidewalk, her hood covering her hair from the drops of rain.
god, the whole situation was giving her a headache as she looked around the campus she walked around.
[name] sighed and wiped the raindrops from her face.
then, as if it was a sign from the heavens, she saw an ash blonde sitting on a bench with his head hanging down.
her eyes widened and she stared at him, her heart beating at an insane pace as she quickly walked towards him.
what was her plan?
simple, she didn't have one.
his head lifted up, seeing the girl staring down at him- soaking wet.
"what the fuck do you want?" he asked in anger, wiping the raindrops from his face.
her breathing was heavy, she didn't know what to say. she was scared and she didn't even know why.
yeah she liked him a bit, but that wasn't why she was scared! she wasn't scared of him rejecting her because of a crush—she was scared of him rejecting her friendship instead.
"mute-"
"'i might be an asshole, but i would never leave you because of your identity.'" she said, looking straight into his fiery red eyes. the words came to her naturally, almost instinctively like she knew exactly what to say.
"did you or did you not say that to me?"
he stared up at her, watching as her lip quivered due to the cold. he sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes, she wasn't being serious was she?
"did you actually come looking for me to say th-"
"don't flatter yourself," she interrupted. even now, out in the pouring rain, he was still being an asshole towards her, "i wasn't looking for you, i came to clear my head. now answer the damn question."
"wow, acting bold now i see-"
"answer the question!"
he stared at her, sighing once her voice got higher towards him.
"i said that to [username], not yo-"
"what's the difference?" she cried out. tears fell down her cheeks and mixed with the rain as she began to choke on her soft sobs. she couldn't believe she was crying in front of him.
"why are you so damn mean? what's wrong with actually having a soft side? what is your damn problem with me, you fucking condescending asshole?"
her quirk slowly began to glitch once again, she tried her hardest to breathe and think happy thoughts, but with him in front of her the feat was nearly impossible.
bakugou didn't respond and only allowed his head to fall down again to stare at the rain drops hitting the ground.
"all i wanted was a friend! so-someone to understand me! i actually started to think differently about yo-"
"do you think i care?" he muttered, looking up at her.
"do you think the reason i avoided you was because of your damn identity?"
he shook his head, rubbing his hands through his hair. the sound of violent buzzing came from his pocket and he pulled his phone out, sighing. he looked up at the girl and put his phone out in front of her.
"wh-?"
"just fucking look at it," he angrily interrupted, watching as her eyes looked down at his lockscreen.

"you like me?"
