"How many times in your life, when people say no instead of yes to you?"
Usually it's thousand of no instead of yes.
When I first heard that sentence from a motivator, it struck to my heart. How many times in a day we compliment people or get any compliment?
As I born to be an Asian, we rarely compliment each other. It just that, we rarely show affection. Maybe we are not good with that. And that's make me felt quite sad.
How many people do not received enough love as they grew up?
Being blame for anything that they do and never get enough support from their loved ones?
That's why I chose the job. Being a teacher.
I know, if I cannot be nice and inspire everyone, I can always start from small.
When I tried to teach my cousin which is 6 years old, for me, she's quite smart compared to her aged. I always compliment her saying words like "very good" and "excellent".
When I asked her, have anyone told you that you are smart?
With a quite sad face she shakes her head slowly.
That's when I know, if I want them to love themselves, I need to start from the very beginning.
She smiled when I compliment her.
We can always start anytime. Let's us compliment each other, motivates them to become better. Give enough love that they deserve.
But remember, Dont fake it! ;)
