a/n - hello! it is me, heaven, your author of this book.
I took a deep breath as we got out of the limo. We were back on the Isle once again to collect the kids we had chosen. Carlos and Jay gathered the twins, which Mal and Evie fetched Celia and Dizzy.
Soon, we were on our way back to Auradon. The (f/c) limo made its way down the streets of the Isle. I took a deep breath as I steadily gripped Ben's hand.
"So, as soon as we get to Auradon, you're going to try ice-cream for the first time," Evie told Dizzy.
"And go swimming?!" She asked excitedly.
"I can take you to the Enchanted Lake!" Evie said. I smiled at the two, then I leaned on Ben's shoulder.
"I can't believe I get to live with you in your very own castle!" Dizzy squealed, Evie smiled at her.
"It's just a little starter castle," Evie shrugged.
Ben carefully picked one of Celia's cards from the deck she held out, Mal and I watched closely. He picked a card and handed it to Celia.
"You are going to be a very wise and brave king," Celia showed us the card.
"He already is," I said fondly. Mal gave me a teasing glance as I playfully smacked her hand away.
"See? The cards never lie," Celia said. She held out her hand as Ben hastily took out his wallet and paid her. She gasped at the amount he gave her.
Soon, we reached the barrier. It opened up for us as we began driving through. Evie turned around to watch the barrier close, as did I. All of the Isle kids looked scared as a familiar blue haired god bursted through the crowed. He shoved his fist through the almost-closed barrier.
"It's Hades!" I gasped, pushing on Mal's shoulder to get her attention. Her eyes went wide as well.
"Stop the car, he's trying to escape!" Evie commanded. The limo came to a stop as we all shuffled out.
"I AM A GOD!" Hades yelled, his hair lit up into flames. I ran beside Ben and stared at my father. Mal and I glanced at each other, then back to him.
"I DON'T BELONG HERE!" He yelled again, grunting as he pulled on the sides of the barrier. Ben, Jay, and Carlos all ran at him only to be hit down by Hades' magic. Mal gasped as I ran to Ben. I glared up at Hades as my eyes glowed (f/c) and (s/f/c) smoke surrounded my body. The same burning sensation I felt at Cotillion filled me up as I felt myself transforming.
In my dragon form, I flew into the air and growled at Hades as a warning, but he only casted his magic at me. His spell hit my chest and I growled as I felt the energy slowly leave my body, but I pressed on.
"(Y/N), come down!" Mal yelled. I ignored her, wanting to make sure Hades couldn't escape. I wouldn't let this be our mother all over again.
"Come on, (Y/N), blast him!" Jay encouraged. So I did. I used up the last of my strength to blast Hades away from the barrier, allowing it to close. He rolled back and glared at me. The (f/c) smile surrounded me once more as I lowered myself into the limo. Ben immediately ran to my aid as he and Mal helped me down.
I has put my hands on my stomach as Mal and Ben held me. I stared at Hades, tears welling in my eyes.
"Are you okay?" Mal asked.
"No," I sobbed, "He drained all of my magic with the ember and I felt all of my power slipping away."
"You're safe," Evie said, "He's back where he belongs."
"Yeah, for now," I panted. I leaned into Ben as he wrapped an arm around me, he placed a gentle kiss to my forehead.
"We should go," Ben said, everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
"Okay," I whispered.
(a/n - ok queen of mean stans, i hear you. story is in third person pov now:3).
The night of Ben and (Y/N)'s return from their run in with Hades on the Isle of the Lost, Princess Audrey sat in her room, crying. She lost her boyfriend to a villain kid. What was so special about her? She spelled him! But he still loved her. Audrey didn't understand, where's her happy ending.
"I'm so tired of pretending, where's my happy ending?"
Audrey slammed her book shut, the drawing of her in ten Queen's crown enclosed in it.
"I followed all the rules, I drew inside the lines, I never asked for anything that wasn't mine."
"I waited patiently for my time, and when it finally came, he called her name. And now I feel this overwhelming pain. I mean, it's in my veins. I mean, it's in my brain. My thoughts are running in a circle like a toy train."
"I'm kind of like a perfect picture with a broken frame, I know exactly who to blame."
"I never thought of myself as mean. I always thought that I would be the queen. And there's no in between. Cause if I can't have that, then I will be the leader of the dark and the bad."
"Now there's a devil on my shoulder where the angels used to be and he's calling me the queen..."
Suddenly, Audrey began making her way to the museum. Something in her had snapped. She put the security guard to sleep and turned off all of the security cameras to ensure she would not get caught. She then made her way to the queen's crown.
"Being nice was my pastime, but I've been hurt for the last time."
"And I won't ever let another person take advantage of me. The anger burns my skin, third degree."
"Now my blood's boiling hotter than a fiery sea. There's nobody getting close to me."
"They're gonna bow to evil queen. Your nightmare's my dream. Just wait until they fall to my wicker schemes.
Using what she had brought with her, Audrey broke the glass that surrounded the Queen's crown.
"I never thought of myself as mean. I always thought that I would be the queen. And there's no in between. Cause if I can't have that, then I will be the leader of the dark and the bad."
"Now there's a devil on my shoulder where the angels used to be and he's calling me the queen of mean."
"The queen of mean. The queen of mean."
Just as Audrey was about to get rid of the crown, it was as if some magic force filled her body. Dark thoughts raced through her head as she walked towards Maleficent's scepter.
"Something is pulling me, it's so magnetic. My body is moving, unsure where I'm headed. All of my senses have left me defenseless, this darkness around me is promising vengeance."
"The price that I'm willing to pay if expensive, there's nothing to lose when you're lonely and friendless."
"So my only interest is showing this princess that I am the queen and my reign will be endless!"
As Audrey was about to place the crown atop her head, her whole look had changed. Her outfit darkened, as had her hair, which was now vibrant shades of pink, purple, and blue.
"I want what I deserve, I wanna rule the world. Sit back and watch them learn, it's finally my turn."
"If they want a villain for a queen. I'm gonna be one like they've never seen. I'll show them what it means. Now that I am that, I will be the ruler of the dark and the bad."
"Cause the devil's on my shoulder where the angels used to be and he's calling me the queen of mean. The queen of mean. I want what I deserve."
a/n - here you go! a chapter done! i hope you enjoy and i hope it was worth the wait! i love you all so much!
