The Hiccups/The Missing Hat

Oswald Narration: "The Hiccups."

It was another beautiful day in big city. Oswald was in his apartment playing the piano and singing to his pet dog, Weenie.

Oswald (singing): "Weenie and me. That makes two. There's nothing that can break us apart. (hic)

Suddenly, as he was singing a weird noise came out of his mouth. He looked at Weenie with confusing.

Oswald: "That was unexpected. Anyway, where were we?"

He continued to sing again. But then that same noise came out of his mouth again. This time Oswald was very confused. He's never hiccuped before. Then the hiccup came out again and again and again.

Oswald: "Gee Weenie, I've never hiccuped so uncontrollably before. (hic)"

Weenie: "Ruff, ruff."

Oswald then gets up from his piano chair and went into the kitchen for a glass of water. He then took a glass and filled it up with water and started to drink it. When he was done the hiccups seem to stop. Oh, so he thought.

Oswald: "There, that takes care (hic). Oh no, not again. What am I gonna do, Weenie?"

Weenie:"..."

Oswald then hears a knock on his door. He puts the glass down on the counter and went to go see who it is. When he opened the door it was his best pal, Henry.

Henry: "Hey Oswald."

Oswald: "Oh, hey (hic) Henry."

Henry: "Um Oswald. I think you might have the case of the hiccups."

Oswald: "I know, and they (hic) won't go away. I don't know what to do. I've drunk water and nothing."

Henry: "Have you tried breathing into a paper bag? That always helps with the hiccups."

Oswald: "No, I haven't. (hic) Let me try."

Oswald goes over to the kitchen with Henry following him and looks into his cabinet. He grabs a paper bag from his last trip to Andy's candy shop and holds it to his mouth. He then starts to breathe in and out for a few minutes. When he was done the hiccups seem to have vanished.

Oswald: "I think it (hic) *sighs* worked."

Henry: "Gee, I was sure that would work."

Oswald: *sighs* "Thanks anyway, Henry. But I don't think I'll ever get rid of these hiccups."

Henry: "Don't worry, Oswald. Let's go over by the big diner to get something to eat. Maybe your hiccups will be gone then."

Oswald: "Well, okay. I am a little hungry anyway."

Weenie: "Ruff, ruff."

Oswald, Henry, and Weenie all leave the apartment to go over to the big diner. Once they made it outside, they met Daisy along the way, who was on her pogo stick.

Daisy: "Wee."

Oswald and Henry: " Hey Daisy."

Daisy: "Howdy Oswald and Henry."

Weenie: "Ruff, ruff."

Daisy: "And you too, Weenie girl. Where are you guys heading?"

Oswald: "We're going over to the big diner to help get my mind off these (hic) hiccups."

Daisy: "Hiccups?"

Oswald: "Yes, I have a bad case of hiccups that won't go away. Henry tried to help, but nothing worked."
