Two tortured, tangled souls
Passing in the night
Was it just a simple chance meeting
It just seemed right
Was it fate or destiny
Were there hearts meant to be
It was just one of those things that they had to see
Would it be able to stand the test of time
Would they be tempted to give up the fight
Would true love prevail
Would it prove to nothing but a veil
Brought on by their own personal hell
Would they even get the chance to begin
Would he leave
Would he stay
Would he stray
Could she take it he did leave
Would she continue to wear her heart on her sleeve
Would she cry
Would she lay down and die
Could she take it
Would she make it
Could she fake it if she couldn't make it
Would she be strong enough to endure the torment
Would it prove to be heaven-sent
Was it, true love
Was it sent from up above
Was it meant to last
Could they get past the past
Was it really meant to last
Will true love still previel
Or am I destined to live in my own personal hell?
