Part 10

-Izaya-

I stayed close to Yuuki now that we figured things out. The rain had barely stopped but it was enough for us to rest a bit, I worried about Mikasa still because she had been hurt on day one, Eli seemed like he was doing okay. 

MK- "Hey Izaya...hows Yuuki?"

I looked at the sleeping girl beside me, she had her head in Elis lap with her feet on mine. his back was leaned on the tree behind him and his head tilted back which made me smile, who would've thought that this trip brought us all together 

IZ- "she seems to have recovered a little. How are you?"

she sighed and looked at her hands

MK- "Still sore from the fall on the first day here but I'll be okay when we get rid  of this damn evil and leave"

Yuuki moved a little so I looked at her and she was now laying on her side, facing Eli which made Mika giggle beside me

MK- "And I thought she didn't like him"

I smiled at her, she was never the innocent type but she learned to hide her feelings unless her body gave her away every time.

IZ- "If she does will it really matter when we get out of here? She's planning on leaving anyway, so even if she likes him it will change"

she nodded and looked at Yuuki

MK- "how is her hair naturally the blue white and eyes red?"

I smiled some

IZ- "I don't have a clue, but her sister had whitish green hair and a deep purple eye color"

she giggled

MK- "was she as pretty as Yuuki?"

I shook my head, smiling at the thought of her long hair, the way it bounced along her hips when she walked of ran and that light in her eyes when she laughed

IZ- "She was kinder...and not as adorable but she was very cute. She's the reason Yuuki keeps her hair the way she does, that short and layered with the braids midway through all the way around..."

Mikasa looked at Yuuki as she again turned to face away from him, she took her braids out when she slept which made her hair a bit wavy and even prettier

MK- "So that's why she puts it up on her own?"

I nodded

IZ- "her sister used to say "You'd look so pretty with braids right there and short hair." She was so kind to Yuuki"

I gulped when I saw the tear on Yuukis cheek

MK- "She changed for the worst didn't she?"

I nodded, looking at her hoodie that she rarely took off

MK- "does she keep anything of her sisters on her?"

I nodded

IZ- "Her choker and her hoodie."

she looked at the blue hoodie and chuckled

MK- "Makes sense then"

Yuuki sat up really fast and panting which made me jump a little by the speed she pulled her legs off me

IZ- "Yuu? You alright?"

she had tears in her eyes  so I pulled her to me and felt her shaking. Mika looked worried but I waved her off.

IZ- "How about I do your braids and we get going?"

YK- "You suck at braiding. I can do it"

She looked at me, making me laugh

MK- "Can I?"

she looked at Mika, startled

YK- "Sure. It has to be directly in the middle"

she nodded and patted in front of her for Yuuki to sit , when Yuuki got up she took off her sisters hoodie which was very rare but I blushed a little seeing her shirt, it was a purple v low cut with long sleeves that she rolled up and now the choker was seeable, the bright yellow stars and light blue band against her skin made me feel a bit upset since I gave it to her sister as a gift. She wrapped the hoodie around her hips and sat in front of Mika.

MK- "you look really pretty without that on all the time you know..."

I put my glasses back on and saw Eli wake up, his brown eyes showing how tired he was but when he saw Yuuki he gulped a little before fixing his hair and I noticed he had a red streak

IZ- "Hey Eli...why do you only keep on side of your shirt tucked?"

E- "cuz its buttoned up so it doesn't need both sides. plus I keep my jacket on my waist to hold it like that."

I nodded and looked at Yuuki whos hair was now done and Mikasa was smiling too

MK- "Mornin Eli..."

he nodded and I looked at Yuuki, her light red eyes were already looking back at me the way they did the day her sister died. she looked weak and vulnerable like she might cry but wasn't sure if she was aloud to so I silently nodded.

-Flashback-

YK- "Dude you should ask your mom if you could go with me and Alya this weekend, we're going to the mountain side"

I shrugged, smiling. I'd do anything with Alya, I'd follow her to the ends of the earth if she asked me too.

IZ- "Sure. you twins won't third wheel me right?"

She laughed and elbowed my side softly which made me smile, I always walked home with her but today was wednesday so I'd be going to church with them and I stayed over until then since neither of our families really minded

YK- "We do not third wheel you."

I looked at her, with challenging eyes that made her laugh, when she went to open the door it was locked which was odd because usually Alya was here before us. I looked at Yuuki who shrugged and grabbed the one of the windows top and pulled herself up to where she could reach the spare key. As we went inside she put her backpack by the door as did I

YK- "ALYYYAAAAA you locked the door again. I've told you I don't like scraping my hands to get the key"

I chuckled and went to the kitchen while she went to her sisters room. I heard Yuuki scream and dropped the glass of water while running to see what was wrong and my heart stopped at the sight. Alya was hanging from the ceiling fan, pale face and cuts on her wrists dripping blood still. Yuuki was screaming and crying trying to get her sister down

YK- "A-alya! STOP THIS DAMN PRANK PLEASE"

She was now on her knees crying and tears were flowing from my eyes but I couldnt make noise, I stared at her body, light green hair hanging down her back. As I came back to reality I called the cops

"911 whats your emergency"

IZ- "S-shes hanging....sh-she's..."

"Sir, please calm down and tell us who"

IZ- "A-alya Levy"

"Whats the adress? I'll send someone right away

IZ- "3361 church Av. (not a real adress btw) Hurry"

"We're on the way, please clear the scene"

I nodded and hung up, pulling Yuuki out who was screaming, tears still rolling down my face

YK- "S-STOPP IZAYA LET ME SAVE HER LET ME SAVE MY SISTER"

I started crying harder 

IZ- "YUUKI STOP THE POLICE ON ON THEIR WAY"

when they arrived Yuuki was crying even harder then before with me holding her close and crying watching as they took her body away and asked us questions. I found a note in the dresser a few days later with her choker that said for me to take care of Yuuki no matter what
