I blinked my eyes open, a hazy feeling rushed over me. Everything seemed so far away, so out of reach. My mind spun around in circles; my stomach churned. My heart pounded against my ribcage as I listened to the thudding noises it made. Blood rushed through every vein in my body, making it seem like I was high on caffeine.

Where am I? I thought as my eyes trailed around the room. No recollection of where I was or how I got here came to mind. The room was too dark and the only familiarity in here was the chair in the corner. Blood splattered all around and on top of it. Where had I seen this before?

A small flash went right before my eyes.

The camera.

The chair.

The room.

Amelia.

He murdered her here. Where he's going to murder me.

I sat in a chair on the opposite wall from where the other chair used to be, and where it currently stood as well. My back was against a wall with something cold poking the small of my back. My wrists and ankles tightened around metal braces, not allowing me to move. Another metal brace, like the others, held my head in place.

                                                                    + + + +

Sitting in the darkness made me hallucinate. Monsters weren't real, I knew that much, but not seeing a single thing caused my brain to wig out.

The darkness engulfed me in their torturous shadows, and something pricked at my skin in various spots.

A black mass moved across the room.

Knocking sounds and creaks came from every direction, whether from the floor, walls, or ceiling.

The sound of a woman screaming pierced my eardrums.

The tingling sensation of bugs and spiders crawled over me and lingered on my body; every inch of my skin devoured by insects and massive spiders.

I shivered, turning at every angle imaginable. If this wasn't torture, I didn't know what was.

A gut-wrenching scream escaped my lungs. Perhaps it made me less of a man, but I didn't care. I wanted out of here. I couldn't take it.

The sound of footsteps came closer and a laugh echoed in the room. "Ya're so helpless, it's so hilarious!" the man said. "Ya just think ya can walk in here, snoop 'round, and get away with it?" He laughed again, sounding as if he was the Joker, high on some drug. The darkness continued to devour him like everything else. I couldn't see, so I couldn't tell what he looked like. "Ya're just a pathetic little pest! Gettin' in the way of my 'party!'"
