   Memories

Memories are made in just a single moment, and stay with us forever.

The best memories are the ones we never forget, the ones we keep close in our hearts.

"But there are some memories that aren't so great, the memories we choose to keep buried deep down, the ones we try to forget.

Memories of war and bloodshed, the screams and faces that still haunt our nightmares. The tears and blood that even the heaviest rain can't wash away.

Rain

Rain is wet, and when mixed with the blistering heat of the north, it is humid, disgusting, and messes up your hair.

"Why is it always so hot?"

You walked into the bar/ supply shop with your best friend who was slightly perverted.

"Because we're in the desert duh, or maybe because you're here."

"Jimin,"

"Yes, Y/N?"

"You're an idiot."

You and Jimin have been friends since you met in the woods about 2 years ago. And though the blonde haired boy may seem like a freak who doesn't care, he's been with you through a lot, but he's still annoying. You two like to travel and find 'treasures' in the wilderness. Something which you'd been very good at, sadly the thing you two find aren't worth much.

"What can I help you with, missy?"
A gruff voice asked from behind the counter.

"We just need these supplies to get back on the road."

"Mainly beans!"
The blonde man says.

"What is it with you and beans?"

"Beans are a good source of protein."

You rolled your e/c eyes as you returned facing the owner.

"And beans, please."

"That'll be $23.60."

"We don't need the beans."

Neither you nor Jimin has a job so money is a little hard to come by especially since the war started.

"Like heck we don't need beans! They have many useful purposes."

Jimin is an exceptionally stupid person when it comes to that concept.

"We don't have the money, and the beans never last long enough for us to use them for anything."

"Well, I believe that pretty necklace of yours would be a sufficient payment."

The owner pointed at the silver and blue necklace around your neck.

You've had it ever since you were born, and you weren't about to part with it over a bag of beans.

"Sorry not happening."

"Yeah we don't need the beans that badly."

Jimin knew what your necklace meant to you and how deeply you treasured it, he wasn't about to let some smelly idiot have it.

"Surely we can come to an agreement?"

"It's not for sale. Come on Jimin, we'll find somewhere else to get supplies."

Just as you turned around five men blocked your exit, keeping you trapped in the small store. Jimin pushes you behind his back as he took a defensive stance in front.

"Let us leave or this will get ugly, maybe even uglier than you."

Jimin looked back at the now enraged store owner with a smirk.
