Hopper had been found. He had been found and now he was right in front of Joyce, who immediately started crying. She ran over to hug him despite the ice and snow that covered the Russian terrain that late November afternoon.
"I missed you." She said
"I missed you too. So much." Hopper replied, also teary-eyed
She lifted her hands to his face, almost unbelieving that it was actually him
"I can't believe your really back, Hop. God I cried myself to sleep almost every night thinking you'd died."
"Well I'm here now. And I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."
"Good."
She hesitantly but passionately kissed his lips and he pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear "so are we still on for that date at Enzo's once we get back?"
"Of course" she laughed through tears
And that date lead to many others, which lead to a beautiful wedding a few years later. Two souls that had once been lost and lonely were joined together. They finally felt whole.

Now I'm going to talk about this song. 1989 is probably my favorite Taylor Swift album and This Love is such a beautiful song. The chorus in particular is what inspired me to write this. I truly believe that Hop is alive and that he and Joyce will end up together and I just thought it fit "...this love is alive back from the dead. These hands had to let it go free and this love came back to me..."🥰
