"Goodbye, (y/n)..."
Those were the last words Niko said to you before returning home. Had the game allowed you to, you would have given your farewells to her as well. Now, you want to see Niko again, but now, even if you wanted to, you couldn't talk with her. The World Machine's link with her has since been severed, only being able to access her memories of the time she spent there.
So here you sit, searching the web for fanfics to get your mind off of the Niko shaped hole in your OneShot shaped heart.
You try to find anything you can to fill this void: Community posts on steam, fanfics, images; but the void is never filled.
So you carry on with your life, occasionally checking back to see if someone updated their stories, and eventually stopping altogether. You finish up school, deciding going to college isn't worth eternal debt, you get a decently well paying job at an entry level. You then find yourself looking for a cheap house- cheap enough for a low paid newcomer to afford.
And so begins your house hunt.
