She was sitting there. Tired from all the running around she had been doing. She was waiting for subject 3 to return from being experimented on. Her name was subject 15. But today she had a idea. "Hey what if we make up names for each other!" She said to the other experiments. They all made mutters of agreement.
[sometime later]
"Hmm. I think your should be named..." the little boy looked at her. Subject 15 hoped it would be a suiting name. "Mayabren!" He said after a lot of thinking. She nodded. She did like that name. But it was long and she knew that some of the younger experiments would get confused.
"That's a great name! But it's very long for some of the youngsters. Maybe you can call me maya?" She suggested
The experiments nodded and mumbled with agreement.
"Your turn subject 16!"
Maya looked at subject 16. A older boy than her. He looked at him for a while then said. "Kio" it was short and simple. And still unique.
"I like that name! Thanks maya" kio said happily.
Maya smiled. "No problem! It suits you!"
