y/n pov:

I giggled sitting by the fire with everyone else here in the safe haven as I saw newt coming from the Medi hut just having had his injection for today

"Hey" I smile as he sat beside me

"Hey love" he smiled at me holding my hand so I smile resting my head on his shoulder "You alright?" he asked

"Yeah" I sigh tightening my grip on his hand and dragging him away from the bonfire and towards the dark shore

"where are we going love?" he asked me

"Come on" I giggle pulling his arm tighter towards the beach once we got to a nice little spot on the beach I sat on the sand dragging him to sit beside me "I wanted some time alone with you" I smile cuddling him tightly

"Aww, I've missed alone time too," He told me kissing my head "Feels like forever since you've been snuggled with me love" He laughed

"I know, I missed your cuddles" I laugh holding him tighter and he smiles holding me tighter too we sat like this for what felt like forever Looking up at the stars twinkling in the sky, Newts hand on my waist the other holding mine, my head nuzzled close to his chest, his head resting atop of mine sleepily, his gentle breathing soothing me as I listened to the washing and crashing of the waves on the sand below us "Newt?" I ask

"Umm?" he asks

"How long has it been since you kissed me?" I ask him

"Not five seconds why?" he laughs kissing my head again

"That's not what I meant" I sigh sitting up to look at his face "Like really kissed me?" I ask him and he blushed a little

"Not since the maze, I don't think" He blushed looking at the sand a little "why?" He asks

"It's nothing" I answer looking back to the sea

"You wouldn't have said it if it was nothing y/n," he told me "Please?" He begs taking my hand

"It makes me feel...like you don't like me anymore," I say sadly moving my hand away from him "I'm not the only girl anymore newt, If you want to go It's okay, I understand," I tell him

"I- I thought you still... still liked me?" He asked

"of course I do, I just don't want to get in the way" I answer

"Y/n, so what if you're not the only girl in the world anymore, I still like you, I still want to be with you, I'm sorry I haven't really... been a good boyfriend for so long, situations just changed so much so fast, I am sorry y/n " He told me hugging me tightly "I still like you, I still want to be your boyfriend, I still want you to be my girlfriend" He told me turning my face to him and fixing my hair "You're still my girl, my y/n, my sweet little love" He smiles kissing my forehead

"I do still love you newt," I tell him

"I still love you too y/n," He told me

"Do you still want to be with me?" I ask

"Of course I do," He told me "I want to stay with you forever love," He told me

"Do you still want to kiss me?" I giggle

"of course I do" he smirks holding my hand and kissing my lips softly and slowly I pushed a little more towards him and kissing him back so excited to kiss him after so long he melted into the kiss alot more and wrapping his arms around my waist and I settled mine on his shoulders as we kissed till our kisses got deeper and hotter as we slowly moved down and laid on the sand together kissing
