Mint candies

Chapter 1, sweet tooth

Hi I'm Rukan, a toothed crane that loves peppermints of any color possible, you may say that I'm a sour puss for only eating candy. The thing is, I can't stop eating peppermints no matter what other birds are saying, I can eat as many peppermints as my tummy can take. The next day I found a mint candy except it's stripes were black then the original red, I pecked at it, chewed and swallowed. "Hmmm, something's very wrong here!" I thought to myself. I tasted a nasty liquid that smells like dead fish and Salty crackers. I screeched at the taste and smell of that black mint, I looked at the wrapper and it said "Caution this mint has poison inside of this mysterious candy, please enjoy". I gulped in horror at the fact that kids might eat these black peppermint candies, so I ran forward to a wall when I turned around to go to the crow's candy shop, then I saw what's in front of my big black eyes.
