Nicki POV

I was listening to jaqueese come thru while cleaning my room

Nicki - *sings* she know what I did with the twixs

I was interrupted by my phone ringing I looked at the screen n seen it was my mom

Me-hello

Mom- be ready when I get off you have choir rehearsal n turn that damn music down

Me- k bye

I hung up n continued to clean my room my mom irritates me so much like she be trippin for no reason like she forces me to be in my church choir 😒😒 I hate them people so much it's not understandable 😩😈;

I was done cleaning n I was bored 😩 so I decided to call august , I scrolled threw my contacts n clicked on his contact I waited for him to answer

August- *sniffles* hello

Me- *scrunches eyebrows* you okay ?

August- nah but I will be

Me- what's wrong ?

August- *mumbles* my brova ' died

Me- I'm Omw

I hurried and hung up to get dressed and grabbed my keys then headed downstairs to my car .. This is crazy we were just with his brother On his birthday and now he's dead and august was closet to his than anyone else in his family now he basically has no one I hope this all goes well I continued to think and drive .

August POV

I can't believe Mel got shot , like he was the only thing I had left and now he's gone .. But best beilve whoever killed him gon die to I WILL find who it was ion play when it come to my family ...but now that he is dead I have responsibilities now he left three beautiful children behind n it's now my duty to raise them with my sister in law . I was I'm deep thought when the bell rung I got up to answer it , it was nicki I really think I'm fallin for this girl hard she's been here fa me n I like that

Nicki- *hugs me* august I'm so sorry

Me- *hugs back* thank you beybeh come in

She let go and walked up the stairs to my room , I followed behind she looked like she just got out of bed she had on sweatpants a tank top and some Jordan 14s it was basic but she looked fine

Nicki- so what happened

I sighed and sat down on the bed I really hope ion start crying in front of this girl .....

Me- okay so I was sleepn' n when I woke up I looked at my phone n there were 50 missed calls from my cousin Travis I thinking tf is going on so I called bac' and he was like "I gatta tell you sum" n I'm like Ight so then he said Mel was shot durning a drop something went wrong when they went into the house so right now I'm just in disbelief cause he was all I had left and ...

A tear slipped ... Nicki came over and hugged me then kissed my temple

Me- and I'm alone now like this shit is crazy he left my 3 nieces behind and now I feel it's my responsibility to take care of them

I looked at her she was crying too I wonder why she is ...she whipped me n her tears and began to talk....

Nicki- august I'm not going to sit here and tell you everything is fine and will get better or that I know how you feel all I can tell you is be strong I know it hurts but it's not going to feel good when u loose someone close to you but I am going to tell you this Mel right now is watching over you so don't ever feel like he's gon long as he's in your heart he's always here .

Damn what she just said really stuck with me ...

Nicki- and I want you to know that this life ain't what it is take his as a example I'm not saying it in any way to make you feel bad but this ain't what it is I want you to promise me you'll stop and remember I'm always here no matter what

Me- I promise ma

She kissed me which was unexpected but I kissed back .... Yea she's the one after we finished talking she stayed n we fell asleep.......

Nicki POV

I was sleeping but I was interrupted by my phone ringing I looked at the time 8:45 shit ! I, late for practice my moms going to kill me I hurried and found my shoes to leave ....I shook august to let him know I was leaving

Me- august

He turned over

August- yes

Me - I gatta go I have practice I'll see you later call if u need anything

I kissed him and made my way downstairs lord ima have to hear her mouth ......
