Seize the Day (M Shadows & Avenged Sevenfold)

A few weeks went by since the meeting with the band. I had earlier invited them to my parent’s wedding anniversary celebration, which would happen at the end of the month. Brian and Zacky promised to come while Matt said he would check if he had plans. Jimmy and Johnny looked at each other and said that they were not available. Weird.

Soph appeared so much livelier and I knew Brian was the cause of it all. They have been meeting each other often and I was happy for her. On one chilly night, while I was riding home from an assignment, I was stopped in the middle of the street by a black Harley Davidson V Rod Muscle. I cussed under my breath and waited for the rider to explain himself. As he walked towards me while taking his helmet off, I noticed the snake bites on his lower lips. Zacky! I thought to myself and a grin found itself on my face.

“Hey beautiful!” he said while pulling me into an awkward hug as I was still seated on my bike.

“Don’t ever do that again Zacky boy! I almost died pulling into an emergency brake!” I said, half-reprimanding. He put both his arms up in surrender and apologized cheekily.

“Follow me?” he said. I thought this was a cute way to ask someone for a ‘date’.

“After you!” I motioned him to go and started my engine. We rode past the peaceful Main Street and he stopped right in front of a bar. How typical of Zacky! He shook his head as he got down from his sleek machine as if responding to my thoughts. I took my helmet off and shook my head, letting my hair free.

“Now that’s what I call sexy!” he teased. I rolled my eyes as I took his hand.

“No Nat, we are not going into the bar.” He said sympathetically. I laughed, a little too loud for my own liking and we went to a diner two blocks away.

We ordered our food and waited patiently. As our hamburgers and smoothies arrived, Zacky decided to break the silence.

“You know, you remind me a lot of someone I truly loved. I’m missing her so much but whenever I’m with you I felt as though she is with me.” I was so touched with what he said and I held his hands.

“So, who’s the lucky girl?” I asked sweetly.

“She’s my sister, Zina. I treat both you and her equally and I would love for you to visit her with me!” he said, his face lit up.

“Of course I will!” I winked and he squeezed my hands. We laughed a lot and talked more about ourselves. He was sharing about his family and was telling me about his girlfriend when he asked about Matt.

“What do you think of Matt?” he asked questioningly.

“Oh! He’s definitely very charming! But he’s a tad too quiet! Is he always like that?” I asked, excited. Zacky smirked and said that he was not that quiet. Maybe just around me. Zacky raised his eyebrows.

“Stop it! What are you thinking about?” I enquired.

“Nothing. Okay, maybe something involving you and Matt.” I hit his arm and we continued talking until Soph called me, worried about my whereabouts. She also told me that she has got interesting news.

“Come on, Soph! I’m not a baby. I’ll be back soon!” I said while rolling my eyes. Zacky noticed that and suggested for us to make a move.

“Last one to the apartment's an ass!” I teased. Zacky ran to his bike and started it. But he was a second too late. My engine had roared to life and I was zooming past him.
