The cryptile is a small lizard that resides on the salt plains most of the time, only coming onto the limestone karst to lay its eggs. cryptiles use their sticky frills like flypaper, running into swarms of brine flies and eating them up, licking the flies off its frill with its long tongue. the cryptile resembles a 21st century frilled lizard, however they aren't related. the cryptile is actually a future descendant of the agamid lizard.
