You

Sometimes I lie so well,
I believe myself,
Just for a little while,
Until the thoughts come creeping,
In full force,
In the dead of night with no one around,
I spin more lies to tell,
And thoughts to keep,
Close to my heart while I weep.

But you see through my lies,
Like no one before,
The way you do so,
Like a majestic door,
Opening into my truths,
And into my hearts hidden goofs,
All through the night you see what I hide,
The secrets I keep bottled up inside.

When in the daylight,
I count the time,
Until the clock rings true,
Of my time back to you,
With those sweet arms you comfort me,
And wipe my tears as I weep,
You hold me close,
Closer than anybody before thee,
You make me feel alive and happy.

When I have to leave you again,
You keep a place in my heart,
The way you would hold an idea in your head,
So carefully and happily with my heart instead,
Imagining the way you look into my eyes,
I feel like it is night again,
And you hold me in my head,
Until it's true,
My nights and heart belong to you.
