Blah blah blah just read the story already.
There where several kids crying. Kids I keep thinking kids when everyone here is older than me. I'm the kid not them. I'm still sitting on the train. The moving train. The slick black train. The military train.
I'm saying train to much aren't I? I look around to see several different types of people. Boys girls. Black pale. Short tall. All of them are going to have the same fait as myself. The train screeches to a halt. Everyone's faces fill with fear.
A girl with ash grey hair looks through the black tinted windows. "Its just another pick up." She confirms and everyone lets out a sigh of relief.
Her voice was deep for a girl and scratchy. Her hair color gave away that she's from the condemned. Its a city that blue bloods had to bubble to keep the smoke from all the war contained. It affected the DNA of the people that live there. It mostly changed thier hair color.
A guy got on board with a very skinny tan girl. He kept his arm around her and stared down anybody who dared look at her. Whats his problem. His eyes met mine. His face formed into a scowl. The seats next to me are the only ones open.
He helps the girl sit down in the seat next to me. He then sits down. The train doesn't have seat belts. His arm snakes around her shoulders. She smiles at him her hand resting on her stomach.
'why are these two so fascinating? They seem different.' I look out the window perplexed.
"Hi I'm Mandy." The girl said looking at me.
"Oh. I'm milly." I introduce myself earning a glare from the boy.
"You're not from the river town are you?" She asks me. Confused on why she would want to know.
"Oh uh. I live in the river town. Its not as bad as everyone thinks." I reply nervously rubbing the back of my head.
"Oh do you know shade river?" She asked her face lighting up.
"Yeah. He's my best friend." I say cautiously. The boy looked at me. I finally got a good look at his face. He looked exactly like shade, but different.
"Is he here?!" The guy asks panic rushinh over him.
"Chill. He's to young to get conscripted." I look at the guy. "Who are you anyways?"
"Oh...uh... I'm hunter river." He looks away. "I lost shade when he was younger. I was visiting the city with him and he disappeared. My family was sad and all these years I thought he was dead."
"It's ok." Mandy said rubbing his shoulder.
"No it won't. Your pregnant. We're getting conscripted and we'll probably die." Wait she's pregnant?!
"You're not the only one who's having a crisis right now." They looked at me in confusion. "I'm only 15." I gave them a smile.
"Wait you'e only 15?!" The ash grey haired girl said turning around from the seat in front of me.
"Thats what I said." I repeated.
Her face grew with rage. "Great they're conscription a 15 year old and a pregnant lady. How more corrupt can the kingdom get." She sneered at the king who was probonly enjoying his luxerys in the castle.
"Hey shut up!" A guard yelled at her.
She sat down and shut up. I could hear her mumbling things. Mostly slurs and curses at the blue bloods.
I laid my head against the window. Starring at the trees that zoomed by. I saw a bright light in the sky coming towards us. Jessy taught me several things before she was beheaded.
It wasn't a star, a light, or even a burner. It was a dangerous thing. It hit the front of the train. There was screeming and loud noises everywhere. I was launches out of the train. The window shattered and I flew out hitting a tree.
I could feel the blood dripping from my head and running down my back. Ringing in my head intensified. It kept getting worse.
I took a deep, breath and then passed out. I was woken up by an animal sniffing me. I opened my eyes to find a pair of bright yellow eyes looking at me. A wolf.
It backed away as is shot up. It scattered. I looked around. The train! It was on its side and in pieces. MANDY! I run or limp to the train.
A first aid kit was laying next to the train. It must've fallen out durimg the explosion. I looked for an entrance. "Call out if you can hear me!" I yelled as I circles the train finding an entrance.
It was small but I would fit. It needed to be bigger I was to get people out. There! I spotted a large branch. I grabbed it and shoved it into the slot. Pushing on one side I was able to widen the entrance. Dry blood covered my face.
"Call out if you hear me!" I yelled again.
"Over here!" A familiar scratchy voice yelled.
I rushed over to her. She was applying pressure to a girl with brown hair. She was impaled by shrapnal. "Go find others. I got it from here." She hesitently removed her hands and left me to work.
I broke off what I could without hurting the girl. I wrapped her torso in bandages and tape. "Brace yourself." I tell her. She looks at me and nodds slightly. I picked her up to where she wouldnt get hurt anymore.
I walked out of the train carrying her. There were a few people gathered around a spot. All from the train. I laid her down on the grass. "Keep pressure on that." I ordered.
Huntrr ran up to me. "Have you seen Mandy?!" He asks frantically. In the back I heard someone say it was about to blow up. I looked at him shook my head no and ran inside the train.
If I was going to die. It would be helping people.
