The loud blasts stopped your worrying, and turned it into sorrow. You had a strong feeling of what happened, but you had to check for yourself.

You ran out the door, too afraid to start crying. You saw the white of his shirt through the fence. He wasn't standing.

Lying on the ground was your husband, covered in blood. You ran to him, stepping over Micheal. You didn't care about him at the moment. All you cared about was your husband. John.

When you got to him, your knees hit the ground, and your head hit his chest. This had to be a bad dream.

Everything you two had done together, and memories you made felt like nothing now. Why did he have to go so soon?

You lifted your head off his chest, and kissed him one last time. It hurt to do so, but you had to do it. You loved him with all of your heart, and now, he was gone.

You took your lips off of his and brought them to his ear.
