save the world, because it can't save you

You think we have saved the world,

You think that everything is fine.

But clearly Spec savers wasn't on your side.

Open your eyes,

See the damage that we as a community have caused.

Do you think we can survive any longer if this carries on?

The water is plastic just like those little old fake synthetic barbie dolls,

That you used to play with as a kid,

The creatures of the sea hide their faces as they watch their ocean life die,

The turtles swallow up the plastic and create another stomach line.

If you kill the ocean you pollute yourself,

Because we as humans already steal their might,

For water is one of the only things that keeps us all alive.

The ocean swallows up our junk,

Because it has no other choice.

Don't be the person living with a soundless insignificant voice.

If the ocean dies so do we,

Make up your mind on which side you want to be.

We can't have everything,

So pick the life you want to live,

And make it count,

Because we only live so long,

But we live ten times longer then the ocean mammals and scaly fish.

That's our doing, now own it,

We killed the animals without a blink,

From the unhealthy waste we flush down our sink.

Each day you stain your skin,

Because it's permanently marked,

By the effect of waste you refused to throw in the bin.

You watch the news as loggers chop the trees,

But we as humans aren't the only living things,

That have had their homes taken.

Just think of those poor koalas and monkey's fearing everyday,

That a human like us might come to their home,

And take their life away.

They flee the scene just to live a life,

Surrounded by us greedy humans,

Who only care about the money that nature provides.

Help me save the world,

I'm only one person,

But I have the might of us all,

Stop the destruction we all cause,

Help cushion the fall,

Of our beautiful world crumbling away,

And fading into the deep nothing void and into the fray,

Save our world,

Because it has no voice,

But it speaks clearer than a billion plastic toys,

It speaks louder than the metal chains,

That cut and slit a trees life away,

You have the chance to change your ways,

To a better person,

Save the world,

Because it can't save you,

Until you make the wrong right again,

And retrieve all the plastic you threw,

Taking a life is considered a sin,

Why can't you see,

That nature is not your personal bin.
