"Calling earth, Kaitlyn, calling earth!" Mom brings me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I look at my mom, confusedly. When I see her expression I smile sheepishly. "Sorry."

"So like I was saying, I think he's a good guy." She smiles proudly.

Going over to the island and sitting on one of the high chairs, I sigh deeply. "What could they be talking about?"

"Chill out, honey, every father has a speech with her daughter's boyfriend." Mom smirks, knowingly.

I start chocking on my own saliva. "We're not dating! Where did you get that?" I question, disbelieve covering every word.

"Oh puh-lease, maybe not now, but soon you'll be." Winking at me, she went to the stove and started stirring whatever she was making on the casserole.

"Mom, no, seriously, I know we are never going to be more than friends." I shake my head at her allegation.

"That's what you think, but mothers know everything." She stated.

"Yeah right." She laughed at my sarcasm.

"You'd be surprised at what I know."

"Whatever you say, mom." I shrug her comment as I chew on my bottom lip somewhat anxious.

"Right now you don't believe me, but the day will come when it will happen and you'd say 'mom you were always right'." She stands in front of me pouring orange in two glasses and finally handing one to me.

Mom doesn't understand. Min Ho is a famous actor and singer. He can have any girl he wants with just a snap of his fingers so why would he date an average teenager?

Taking a big gulp of my orange juice, I think of how Min Ho should be doing out there. Maybe he's asking himself, 'why am I even hearing this if I won't consider on dating her, ever?'

Ugh, why am I even thinking this?

Maybe it's because I lik.....

No, I won't put much thought to it since it's probably the nerves talking.

"U er a going?" Mom was asking me something, but I just heard the last word since I was deep in thought.

"What did you say?" I apologetically ask.

"You sure are a day dreamer." She amusedly shakes her head. "I asked you if you knew where he is taking you." She repeated.

"Oh yeah, umm... I'm meeting his parents." The nervousness gets even stronger as the minutes tick by. "And then we'll go study or something like that."

"Aha?" she asks teasingly. "So he's meeting yours and you're meeting his?"

"Yes."

"Everything is going to go well." She smiles reassuringly.

"About?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"Please, I went through that experience. I know you are nervous but just be yourself and everything is going to be alright." She comes over to my side and hugs me. "Just know that we'll support you in the decisions that you make and we'll always love you."

"I know, mom, and I love you, too." I turn around in her arms and hug her back.

"So what advice can you give me?" I ask her after sitting again in the chair.

"I already told you. Nerves are normal so don't worry about them, but the best advice is just to be yourself no matter what." She started cutting some tomato in front of me.
