Now the sky was dark and orange. In fact, almost everything seemed orange. That was just the way it was at this time of the day, being almost night. Winter didn't seem to ever come hear. Never the less, across the paper trash, dusty land Wall-E walked, father then any more man of he's size ever could. Soon what looked like a old bashed up once yellow large truck came into sight. It was so crushed into the ground that it looked like it was a part of it. Dark black rust was creeping in at every angle of it's body. But that didn't stop Wall-E from smiling at it when he walked up to it. Gingerly he pulled down on a lever besides the large wall, when the lever was down the wall slowly laid itself down to the ground, letting Wall-E step inside.
Inside was a far more put together space then the outside world. All across the walls was movable shelves fulled with well thought out stocks of... Well, just about any kind of small nic nac you could think of, in small piles. The roof had jingling coming from it with all the midday porch delights taped to the top. Around the back was old Christmas lights of many colors, though they where not on. The only thing that would show a 'person' lived there was the small thin blankets at the vary end... And a large dog bed?...
Regardless, Wall-E walked up the open door. Beside the entrance was a control panel, in which Wall-E used to turn on all the pretty lights, making the room go white and a light calming yellow. Then Wall-E leaned agent the door and with he's other hand he pulled off he's old stolen tread army boots and layed them tight together next to the door, making sure to pick off a speck of dirt before walking in. Suprisingly he didn't wear any socks underneath he's boots.
Mid-way though the room he turned to a toaster and pulled up a tape then walked all the way to the end of the room, bent down and put the tape in a video player, first it was shown on a small screen, then he pulled out a more middle sized TV from the wall, making sure it was set in place.
Quietly humming the song from the movie playing behind him, Wall-E turned around, and out of he's lunch box he pulled out he's metal plate from that day. Looking back he shall the people in the movie tipping their hats. Copying this Wall-E used the plate for a hat and waved it around a little, shacking he's head he tuned back around and layed the plate at the vary bottom of the shelve. Opening the lunch box on the ground he lifted it up. Inside there was all kind of little nic nacs inside, he put them in there right spots and shut the lunch box lid.
He started walking past the screen when the song in the movie started going soft and sweet and... Wall-E looked back at the screen.
The characters where in a part at night. 'A well put together man and a pretty woman where singing about love'... Wall-E walked closer to the moment, mouth slightly opened... 'Being in love with each other'... Wall-E slowly pulled he's goggles off he's light brown eyes and let them drop to he's neck... 'A different person, that loved him,'... Unthinking Wall-E pulled he's hands closer...'and he loved her, just the way she was'... He's hands linked together after the characters did so... "... That's... Really something..." Wall-E said to himself softly.
Outside the sky was almost black. Wall-E stepped out real quick, taking notice of he's little bug friend a few feet away from the door. He had stepped on him before, and he didn't want to do it again. After getting far away from the door he started banging he's lunch box on the ground, trying to get all the week old dust out. Then a low noise went though the air, asking Wall-E to look up. And what he shall made him shutter. Far far above, where the dirt fog had a brake in the sky, a small opening of sky was shone, where blue sky shined and little specks of white stars along side it. Wall-E smiled at that. It really was rare to see the sky clear most nights. You'd never see it clear in the day much at all. It was just so blue... But sadly, it was not made to last and the dirt hid it from him.
Wall-E was snapped away from he's gazing to hear a low beeping noise come from he's goggles. Quickly he pulled them back on he's face, biteing he's lower lip with worry. When they where back on they more clearly showed him a big dust storm coming right he's way!
Sucking in he's breath, he banged he's lunch box four more times then spun around and jumped back inside! Quickly starting up the door- but then he sees he's bug friend laying by a red back light to the right side. Gathering he's voice, but only making a "Ah!" sound. This still grabs the bug's attention and he scuters inside right as the strong rusty door shuts behind them.
Opening a BL kremies bar, Wall-E lays out the uneaten junk food at the vary bottom for he's bug friend to craw in. Wall-E smiles, then he turns around walking to the back of the truck where a odd dog bed is laying. Signing, Wall-E craws in he's found bed and pulls the thin blanket over himself, still wearing he's yellow and gray work clothes, including the vest. The goggles should always be on- at least that's what he was told 700 years ago, or how every long 'they' had been gone. It helped him see though dust and the fog well... But it gave all color a gray washed out look. And there where always little signs to the sides of them, made things more annoying for him. So when he felt like it, they where off. It was rude if he did it in front of a co worker... but, they where all dead now... Wall-E, the last one, signed. It was only a matter of time till he would too. A lot just gave up on 'life' before anything could get them. Others got killed during the dirt storms. And others couldn't 'heal' with the lack of power around hear. Wall-E didn't know how much he missed them till they where all gone. They all looked like him, sure. But it wasn't like they where all the vary same inside... Still, no matter how lonely it got- he was the only android left on earth! And it was he's job to clean it up! So when they do come back down, they'll see a clean earth!..
But why was he so slow at cleaning?
