It's a Promise (Spinel x Fem!Reader)

Chapter 1

"Spinel! Hi!" Steven made his way to the gem after asking the Diamonds about how they've been.

Spinel hugged him, smiling widely.
She was kind of like her old self now though there are some times she has panic attacks but it's been getting better and rarer. While hugging Steven, she can see the others waving at her. She pulled away from the hug and waves back at them.

"Come on, let's go with the others!" Steven held her hand and made his way back.
"How are you? It's been a while since we last seen each other." Steven looked at her with a soft smile.
Spinel giggled, "I'm ok now. It's so much fun being in the palace!" She replied cheerfully.

"I can tell,actually. You changed for the better. I meant that in a good way." He clarified. Spinel just gave him a nod, a smile still on her face.
They reached the others and it goes on and on with them having fun.

It's night time now and all of them are preparing to rest. The Diamonds went back to their ship, excited for tomorrow. Spinel,however, told them that she's going for a walk around the city. She wants to explore this city and she noticed that it changed a lot. That just made her more interested!
She can barely keep on her feet as she skips her way to the town. Few of the restaurants there are still open, even the FunLand Arcade and,wow, that place changed so much! It's even bigger now. She walks faster, taking on any details she sees while keeping a wide smile.

You were walking down the path that leads to the city. You can't see clearly due to the darkness around you. You can see the lights from the town and you smiled widely,excited to be almost there on your destination. You're not exactly from there as you were just going on a vacation. You didn't notice the rock on your path and that made you trip with a loud thud. You fall face first on the road, groaning you sat up then rubbed your face. Tears were forming on your eyes due to the pain.

"God dang it, that hurt!!" You almost yelled out. You felt a hand on your shoulder which was then followed by a voice, "Are you ok?" They asked. You looked up at the person or so you thought.

"Yes,thank you..?" You said it more like a question. She helped you up and you dust yourself off before looking at the gem in front of you.

"You're a gem, right?" You asked with curiosity. You've heard about them but never really had a chance to meet one. You're getting excited too as this is your first time, you're almost jumping with excitement.

Spinel nodded, confused about why you are happy and why she can feel a tinged on her chest on seeing your smiling face. Once she confirmed that she is indeed a gem, you let out a squeal.

"That is so cool!!" You fist pumped through the air with a laugh.
Spinel laughs too when she heard your laugh. You stared at her with stars in your eyes and asked, "What's your name?"

"Spinel, and yours?" She stopped laughing to answer you.
"The name's Y/N but you can call me N/N !" You told her while holding out your hand. She takes your hand and shooks it.

"Pleasure to meet you. Where are you going? It's late too, you know." She said to you, glancing around.
"I'm actually here for a vacation and well, I'm going to a hotel there." You pointed towards the city.

"Well, come on! I'll take you there!" She said before lifting you up bride style. You squeak out, surprised that she can lift you. But what can you say, she's amazing after all. Both of you headed towards the city, you were mesmerized by the beautiful scenes while Spinel was taken by your beauty. She still can't figure out what she's feeling but she knows or thinks it's not bad to feel that way?
Spinel shakes her head, clearing her thoughts and looked ahead. Moments later you can feel her putting you down back to your feet and you realized you were in front of the hotel you reserved at. You tilted your head, confused on how she knew. Before you can ask her about it, she suddenly say, "It's a guess." Followed by a shrug.

"This is it, huh?" You looked down feeling sad. "I wanted to spend more time with you." You added.

"Who said we couldn't?" She smiled and hugged you quickly before pulling away. There's no doubt about it, she feels so damn comfortable around you even though you just met.
"If you want, we can hang out tomorrow?" She asked, nervousness on her voice. Your eyes light up, frown disappearing. "YES!!.. I mean, yeah sure." You tried playing it cool but failed miserably as your face betrayed you. You're blushing furiously and Spinel noticed it.
She giggled quietly before hugging you again.

"Meet me tomorrow in front of the park, at 10AM. " She whispered in your ear which makes your face redder. She lets go of you before turning round and skipping her way back to the beach house. She left you there, mouth gaping open, whole face red and speechless. What just happened? You thought to yourself.
Nevertheless, it made you so happy! You went inside the hotel,talked to the staff and you were on the third floor. You made your way up using the elevator and goes to room 369. You went inside using the card they gave you and you take a look around. It was beautiful! The room was organized pretty well and it suits your taste. You set your bag down that contains your stuff then made your way to the bathroom. You showered quickly and get dressed to your Pj's. You flopped to the soft and fluffy bed, letting out a sigh. Your eyes quickly closed, sleepyness taking over. You wondered what's going to happen tomorrow. But you know it's going to be fun as much as today was. It's because of Spinel. You realized that she was so fun to be with.
The sleepyness finally took over and you slept with a smile on. Dreaming about the certain someone you don't realize you're quickly falling head over heels for.

Ahhh, sorry if that was short and the characters are ooc ^^" I will do my best to improve my writing skills too!
It's my first time writing a book and I really hope you guys like it :>
I love Spinel so much! Well, that's it for me today. I will try to update weekly or regularly but who knows. I'll be continuing this though that's for sure!!
