We run to Reggie's car. I open Polly's door and she gets out. Everyone is cheering. I hug Polly. "You get to stay." I say smiling so big.
"Yeah. So do you."
"Girls," We pull away and turn to Mom. "We have to go."
"Mom lighten up we won." Polly says giving Jug a high five.
"Yes but I know your father. If he doesn't win, he'll..." I frown, "Let's just say he's a sore loser. Plus the DNA test." I nod and get in the middle of the back. Polly sits on my right and SweetPea gets in on the left. Reggie and Jug get in.
"It's ruined." Reg says.
"It's a few scratches. I'll pay for it." He smiles at me and I look at Polly who is staring at Jug. She notices that I noticed and looks at me with a smile.
"Was he good?" She whispers.
"Polly!" I yell hitting her arm. She starts laughing so much.
She stops and her face goes serious, "But really. Was it good?" I roll my eyes and lay my head on SweetPea's shoulder. "You know you have to get your blood drawn right?" My head shoots up and I look at her with wide.
"No." I shake my head. She nods and I grab onto SweetPea's arm.
"You scared of needles?" He asks chuckling.
"Shut up!" I say not letting go.
"Okay." I look up at him squinting my eyes. He laughs more.
"Somebody switch with him." I say sitting up and releasing his arm.
"No thanks." Reg says.
"So?" Polly asks me. I nod and she starts smiling so big. "I SO ship it!"
"Ship what?" Jug asks.
"Nothing!" I say to him. "Polly shut up!" I whisper.
"I need Kev to come up with the name." She pulls her phone out. I roll my eyes and look out the big window in the front.
Soon Polly starts laughing out of nowhere. "Betty it's gold!" She hands me the phone.
