Stay, please...

I woke up the next morning to the warm sunlight streaming through the window. I groaned and turned around, only to be bombarded by an overactive Eve. "You never told me your brother is so hot and nice, and Oh My God, he is just perfect!" I squinted my eyes open to see Eve's enthusiastic expression. "Get out," I mumbled, burying my face in my pillow. "Okay, sorry..." I felt the covers being yanked off my body. "Is this how you treat your new friend?" Suga's voice filled the room. I groaned again and threw my pillow at him. But my clumsy self missed and hit Jin instead. "Yah!" "Sorry, Jinnie." I looked up to find Eve and all seven boys in my room.

Yes, seven, including Jin, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and JUNGKOOK. He stood hesitantly in the doorway, unsure if he could enter. I turned around, facing away from him. I didn't want to see him like this, so vulnerable. Yet, a part of me wanted to run to him, hug him, and never let go. What had he done to me? "You slept for over 14 hours, and now that we're here, you still want to sleep?" J-Hope asked. I mumbled a sleepy "Yeah." "If you want me to leave, I'll just go." Before I could fully process what he said, I answered, surprising not only him but also myself. "No, I want you to stay." Maybe I was just afraid that he would leave me again, but now for good.

I got up and head to the bathroom. "We'll wait with Eve in the cafeteria, okay?" Suga suggested. "Yeah, see you there." In the bathroom, I avoided looking in the mirror. I knew that if I did, I would break down. The cold water refreshed me, and after drying off, I dressed in jeans and an oversized black hoodie. I grabbed my phone, plugged in my earphones, and played my music. Walking out to the cafeteria, I found them all at a table, laughing like the family they were—my family. Families fight and hurt each other, but they are there for each other, no matter what.

After a while of chatting, with the boys teasing about hospital food, we decided to order pizza. Taking a big bite, I almost choked, and they teased, "Someone is hungry." Laughter filled the air. "I think she has never been so fast. I should use pizza more. Maybe then she will wake up on time for once," Suga suggested. It felt like we were growing even stronger. "Not funny," I mumbled with my mouth full of pizza. Again, laughter echoed, even from Jungkook. "That's right, it's not funny. I once tried it, but I had no pizza. I still have a bruise on my back," Jungkook shared. A small smile formed on my lips. We locked eyes for a brief second. Yes, I hit him when he lied about having pizza. He deserved it. "And I still don't regret a thing. Nobody lies about pizza."
