Chapter 9

MICHELLE'S POV

"Lauren and I are in a relationship"

These are the words that keep ringing in my head

Y/n and Lauren are dating...I-i can't believe it

I feel my eyes pinch but I try to hold back the tears, I don't want them to ask why I'm crying when I should be "happy" about this news

"Oh sweeties, we're so happy" I hear mom say

They get up to go hug them meanwhile I stay still on the couch, looking at the happy scene with a broken heart

I stand up and decide to go out in the backyard

Ever since Lauren and I became friends with y/n we spent a lot of time together here at her house and her backyard became my favourite place

She has a swimming pool and you can do all sort of things since it is pretty big

But it was during night that the magic happened

During the night you could see the sky being studded with stars

When we were kids we always used to come here in the backyard at night and watch the stars

"I knew I would find you here" I hear a voice say

I turn around and come face to face with Y/n

"What are you doing here all alone?" she asks

"Nothing, I just wanted to see the stars. I miss doing it"

"Yeah we used to do that when we were kids" Y/n says smiling

We stay silent for a couple of minutes before she starts talking again

"Look I'm sorry"

"For what?" I ask

"For everything. I mean Lauren and I said that we weren't in a relationship when we talked to you and then, like, a month later we started dating...we were a little hypocritical"

"I'm sorry if we made you feel betrayed because we didn't tell you this but we wanted to see if this relationship could work before telling anyone" she continues

I look at her not knowing what to say

"Do you love her?" I ask after a few minutes

"I think it's a bit too early to say that I love her, for now let's just say that I like her very very much but I can see myself falling in love with her" she replies looking at the sky

She has that look in her eyes

It's the same one she had when, as a kid, she told us about her perfect future

When she dreamed about her meeting a prince, marrying him and living with him in a castle

When I grew up I realized that I wanted to be that prince, that I wanted her to marry me and that I wanted to live with her

But that prince turned out to be Lauren and I can't do nothing to change that

I need to forget about her

I'M BACK!!!! 😂😂😂 I'm so so sorry for putting this story on hold but I didn't have the time, until now, to sit and write a new chapter. Plus I had a writer block and I didn't have anything in mind on how to continue this book, like what can I put next, how can I finish it ecc. It's all good now and let's hope it will not happen again. This chapter is a little short but, as a gift to apologize for making you wait so long, I'll publish a new chapter on Christmas day.
