Carter Griffin is one of the two new-girls in Beacon Hills Highschool - the other being Allison Argent. The last night of winter break, Carter's life is changed forever when she is bit by an Alpha werewolf. First day of school, Carter meets Starr Stilinski - the equally-sarcastic yet slightly-less spastic version of Stiles Stilinski. Carter has known for sometime that she is a lesbian, and has come-out of the closet - telling her single mom she was gay a little over a year ago. Starr, however, has never met a guy who she has liked. She always thought that she just 'hasn't met the right guy'. But when she meets Carter, she feels these new emotions, and it scares her a little - especially since her and her brother's best-friend Scott McCall was also bitten by an Alpha werewolf the same night Carter was.
